There was a passenger in Walter Scott’s car when he was pulled over who witnessed the stop.

Pierre Fulton spoke to authorities and released a public statement.

Here’s what Fulton had to say:

“Walter was a dear friend, and I miss him every day. Over the past five years, he helped me to become a better man and showed me the value of hard work. I’ll never know why he ran, but I know he didn’t deserve to die. Please keep Walter and his family in your prayers and respect my privacy moving forward.”

So why did he live and Walter Scott die? Looks like he made the good decision to stay put and let everything play out. Now why didn’t Mr. Scott do that?

Staying put can get a brother shot, too.

“Now why didn’t Mr. Scott do that?”

Because he didn’t know the consequence would include being murdered? Hindsight is 20/20 – I’m sure if he had known he would be murdered for running he would not have run.

Here’s another question, one I’m surprised you didn’t raise:

Why did the police officer murder Mr. Scott?

Why did the cops lie about it at first???

      Here is why.

Because after all, everyone knows that running away carries with it summary execution by police.
