The guy killed people, because he didn’t “get his way”. He basically killed them in a fit of pique. I don’t believe his family’s arguments that he was a “good man” or that this was a fluke. Murder isn’t a fluke. It’s a demonstration of one’s complete disregard for innocent lives. He committed murder, because he wanted to express his displeasure in the most heinous and offensive way, possible. I don’t feel a bit bad about his exit from this world, because he deserved it. I prefer to save my regrets and pity for the victims, not the monsters.

In 2014, 7 death row inmates were exonerated and the charges dropped. Conviction and guilt do not have a 1 to 1 relationship. So while my sympathy is with the victims, we only know he was convicted of the crime. I’m unwilling to see the state murder other people because “we think he did it.”

The people who are being exonerated, today, were convicted on evidence that was circumstantial, at best. Today, we require a much higher burden of proof, in order to send someone to the death chamber. In this particular instance, the perpetrator’s ex-wife survived the attack and testified against him. Eyewitness testimony from one of the victims is pretty damning. Execution isn’t murder, by definition. Murder is the unjustified taking of a life. Execution is completely justified, as long as the facts of the case have been proven.

Which case are you speaking of?

Four Blackwater guys killed 14 people in Iraq, and wounded 19 others..
And only 1 of them gets life, and the others get 30 years…
And people are outraged over the sentences..
      I have to ask..
      What do you think?

      • illinoisboy1977 April 15th, 2015 at 7:54 pm

All four of them should have been lined up and shot. Murder, alone, is bad enough. Murder under the color of authority is much worse. They were is a position of great strength, compared to the average Iraqi citizen and they thought they could get away with conducting a massacre, with no clear threat and not the slightest evidence that a hidden threat existed. As I said, they should all be executed.

If that is really your opinion….
          (I doubt it is)..
          It seems a little harsh…

I have absolutely no sympathy or mercy for people who use their power to victimize those weaker than themselves, or those who are unable to defend themselves. Those who murder innocent people should be executed. It won’t bring back the dead, but it’ll stop the perpetrators from ever killing anyone again.

          Maybe I’m reading you wrong…
maybe a misinterpretation on my part…
          wouldn’t be the first time..

      “complete disregard for innocent lives”.
      Hold that thought…
Andre Cole did not “kill people”..
      He killed a single person…

There is no “them” that he killed..
There was no complete disregard for “”innocent lives”…

Andre Cole murdered a single person..
I dont know where you get the “them” and “Lives” or “the guy killed people” that you use in your comment…

      But lets be honest..
      The asshole killed one person.
      There is no them..(body count)
There are no “lives” he has taken…(only one)

Okay, he attacked people. One died. The fact remains that he has adequately demonstrated his complete disregard for innocent lives. Execution is the best solution.
