Not one mention of what she did. I’m sure they did not just seize her off the street and behead her, did they?

I am not in any way minimizing the dismal record of the Saudis on human rights. But, people need to understand when they go there what the deal is.

She killed her abuser – in 2001 – had to wait all these years for the dead asshole’s children to reach an age where they could opt to forgive her – they didn’t, so 14 years later she was decapitated. Full story is at the link in the text – but if you missed it – here it is again http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2015/04/15/shock-saudis-behead-ri-woman.html

It’s highly hypocritical for President Widodo to strenuously appeal for his people on death row, but continue to ignore the appeals for two reformed Australians on death row in his country. He wouldn’t even be bothered to read the appeal documents.

Death sentence should be abolished all over the world. It’s barbaric, inhumane and senseless.

The Saudis are our “friends.” With friends like these, who needs enemas?

While it is disgusting, what the Saudis have done, I have no sympathy for Widodo, and no respect for him either. Perhaps if he weren’t so dead-set on the state-sanctioned murder of foreigners within his own country (with a notable case being two Australians currently set to be murdered within the next few weeks), I could take him seriously on wanting to prevent his people being murdered by other countries.
