Get ready for more war if Jeb Bush wins the White House.

If Jeb Bush is elected president, the United States won’t be on speaking terms with Cuba and will partner more closely with Israel. He’ll tighten sanctions on Iran and urge NATO to deploy more troops in Eastern Europe to counter Vladimir Putin. And he’ll order the U.S. military to root out “barbarians” and “evil doers” around the globe.

Far from running from or downplaying the views once expressed by his brother, George W. Bush, Jeb Bush is embracing them — and emphasizing them.

It’s clear when he calls for closer engagement with Arab leaders to combat the growing threat of the Islamic State. Or when he criticizes President Obama for pulling U.S. troops out of Iraq. It’s most apparent when he refers to “evil doers” — a formulation used widely by his brother — and argues that the United States needs to engage but doesn’t have to be “the world’s policeman,” a view voiced by his brother that was also embraced by their father, George H.W. Bush…

Even George W. Bush admits he’s a political liability. Speaking at a health conference in Chicago on Wednesday night, he told the crowd, “That’s why you won’t see me out there, and he doesn’t need to defend me” before adding that he loves and supports his brother…

In recent years, nearly six in 10 Americans have believed that the Iraq war was not worth fighting, though Republicans have been slightly more supportive, according to polling by The Washington Post and other organizations. In more recent years, public opinion has similarly turned against the war in Afghanistan.

Typical right winger…willing to fight to the last drop of other people’s blood.

Hey Jeb…you really want perpetual war? Re-institute the draft with NO EXEMPTIONS other than heath. And politician’s children should be selected first.

religious shysters and their offspring should be the advanced boots on the ground column. That way, if it turns into a religious war instead of just a war to make money, we’ll have front line protection.

offshore banking has thrived off of such senseless military adventurism – just take a look at Dubai pre and post the USA Military occupational liberation invasion.

(not to mention the ‘unknown’ financial sources for the current ISIS revolt.).

Hey C’mon now. Didn’t you hear Jeb when he said “I’m my own man”?

He can make Herm Cain his SecDef, and we can invade Uzbekibekistanstan.

Oh great, another war criminal in the making. Just what we and the world needs.

    • granpa.usthai April 17th, 2015 at 5:09 pm

you’d think that with the needless losses for the USA, our government would be in on the hunt for war criminals too?

Those patriotic Bushes, always sending their sons and daughters to the front lines to support their beliefs……oh, wait…

If Jeb is embracing W’s world views then he is taking advice from a fool…..good to know.

Yeah, but Hillary’s worse, so that’s why I’m voting for Rand Paul.

….Snark, of course. But it’s becoming clearer by the day to me that the GOP presidential hopefuls are just stark raving mad. I know people are claiming that Hillary is worse (and offering no bloody proof), but honestly–look at what the hell is over on the GOP side, including Rand Paul. Do you want them in the White House? ANY of them?

    • Larry Schmitt April 17th, 2015 at 12:55 pm

And yet you’re willing to vote for someone that you admit is “stark raving mad.” What does that say about you?

      • granpa.usthai April 17th, 2015 at 5:07 pm

I think the ‘…snark, -means he’s going for Dems or a possible Independent like Gary Johnson?

        • Larry Schmitt April 17th, 2015 at 5:33 pm

          I completely missed that.

Georgie hides down here in his Preston Hollow mansion cause no one wants to be seen with him. They all know what a political liability he is. And how can a former US president afford to live in an area where homes go for $50-$150 million? By cheating, embezzling, grafting, any way and anything he could. I frequently have to resist the urge to give his house the finger as I am rolling by. Who in their right mind wants to sign on for even 4 more years of his beliefs and bullshit?

    • Roctuna April 17th, 2015 at 6:15 pm

Why do you resist the urge? Flip away!

      • Pokthecat April 17th, 2015 at 9:07 pm

I’m afraid the Secret service with nothing to do might take out their boredom on me.

  13. granpa.usthai April 17th, 2015 at 5:05 pm

no more phony made up ‘military engagements’ for deposit security in offshore banking. You want the USA in a ‘war’ situation, then fight to WIN damn it, with EVERY AVAILABLE WEAPON at our disposal. Anything less is merely LYING DECEPTION by those who will PROFIT FINANCIALLY off the dead bodies of America’s youth.
