As the so-called “amnesty” provision of President Obama’s executive action on immigration reform remains stalled in federal court, the political battle has taken to the streets. The twist here is that it’s not DREAMers chasing Rand Paul out of Steve King’s lunch table, or “patriots” demanding that Obama be lynched, it’s anti-immigration protesters revolting against an anti-immigration congressman.

    I think it is only fitting that this Congressman is confronted by the very ignorance that gets him elected.

    Here is the verbal exchange as quoted in the Washington Post article

    “”””Mike,” the man Knight confronts, has a firm grip on the congressman’s hand as he says, “You told me you didn’t vote for amnesty, and you did. I looked it up on the Internet. You lied to me.” Then Mike forcefully pats him on the shoulder.     OK, so “Mike” looked it up on the Internet, so it just has to be true. After all, Alex Jones would not lie. When you cultivate a base of low information voters, unsure as to whether Hawaii is a state, well you reap what you sow.
