Colorado Congressman Ken Buck isn’t only complaining that liberals caused him to be investigated; he’s fundraising off the investigation.

In an email sent to supporters on Tuesday, Buck blasted “Anti-Gun Liberals” who he said reported him to police for posing in a photo on Capitol Hill holding his American flag-patterned AR-15 rifle alongside Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC).
“Anti-Gun Liberals are leading a full attack against Trey Gowdy and me over the picture taken above,” Buck said in the email. “Some have even gone far enough to report me to the police even though we had the gun checked out and approved by the U.S. Capitol Police.”

The Hill reported earlier Tuesday that the Washington, D.C. attorney general’s office referred the matter to the Metropolitan Police Department. A spokesperson for the attorney general’s office told the publication that it’s illegal to possess an AR-15 in the District.

But a Capitol Police spokeswoman told The Hill that members of Congress are exempt from rules that prevent people from possessing assault weapons in the district. Buck was allowed to keep the rifle in his office and transport it on Capitol grounds as long as it was “unloaded and securely wrapped,” the spokeswoman, Kimberly Schneider, told the publication.

Even if they did violate the law, what is the big deal? There was no evil intent here. Besides, liberal newsman David Gregory violated DC’s tough gun laws and nothing happened to him.

David Gregory is not a liberal.

      Do you ever stop lying?

Does the congressman take the gun with him when he visits elementary schools in his district?

  3. fahvel April 23rd, 2015 at 12:09 pm

how the hell do your congress people get a pass on something as dangerous as a death dealy machine wrapped or not wrapped in a flag?

    Gowdy’s face is amusing.

He has like a pig face, with a rat face superimposed on it.

    It really is incredible.

He must have misspoke. I’m sure he meant to blame the black guy in the white house for ratting him out.

  6. uzza April 23rd, 2015 at 2:59 pm

Doesn’t appear to be “securely wrapped” in the photo . . .

  7. fancypants April 23rd, 2015 at 9:42 pm

That is because he has no intention to use that gun to shoot anything with. It is a prop to be used by the brain dead politicians.

I’m a gun-toting liberal black female, and I want Buck and Gowdy to tell me in person that I’m responsible for their idiocy. He and Gowdy were smiling like Cheshire Cats—-until someone leaked the pic to the media. They’re lying ass cowards who do sh*t and take offense if others don’t like it. Hell, I taught high school for 33 years , had some bad ass kids in my classroom who were thieves and future, and former, murderers. I never took my gun into my classroom or left it in my car in the parking lot, and the reason was because I didn’t feel a need to “prove” how supportive I am of the 2nd Amendment or ever thought of a gun as a way to solve conflicts with my students. I could dress a kid down in less than a minute, and I would not accept any backtalk from any of them. It takes real guts to teach school, but I guess some of our lawmakers don’t feel safe unless they can show off their guns. Insecure bastards.

What are they doing on Capitol Hill with a rifle. Isn’t that against the law? If any of us carried a gun onto Capitol Hill we’d have our picture taken in shackles!!!
