553990f473a47.image_Police and other officials resigned when she was elected, and now they are trying to thwart the will of the voters by not allowing her to serve.

Betty McCray was not only prevented from entering city hall, she was also told she’d been impeached before she got a chance to start.

McCray ran for mayor in the April 7 election and won.

“I won. The people spoke,” McCray said. “I was sworn in by the St. Louis County. Today I take office. I want them out, I want the keys.”

After the election results were certified earlier this week by the St. Louis County Board of Elections, Kinloch’s outgoing administration refused to allow the city clerk to give McCray the oath of office, claiming voter fraud…

One officer attempted to prevent himself from being filmed by pushing a camera away. No one was being allowed inside city hall, including the elected mayor.

Kinloch city attorney James Robinson informed McCray she had been impeached. However, the city refused to tell the new mayor the articles of impeachment…

A lawyer for Kinloch says he misspoke after this story aired. He says the new mayor is not impeached, she is suspended.

A.G. Loretta Lynch’s DOJ should beat the crap out of thse Limbaugh state xenophobic delusionals. Election results were certified earlier this week by the St. Louis County Board of Elections. GOP busted again for racism.

    • whatthe46 April 25th, 2015 at 1:34 am

glad i read the post first… thank you Obewon!

    • CaptDMO April 25th, 2015 at 8:36 am

      WOW!
      “Limbaugh devotee Kinloch city xenophobes”?
      “GOP busted again for racism”?

And you were deemed worthy of forum “mod” status…by WHO exactly?
I guess we have no choice but to assume a personal endorsement from
      Mr. Clickbait.

Sworn In makes her the OFFICIAL Representative of the people and those opposing her criminals by any definition.

I go along with sending in the National Guard to restore the LAWS of the Republic. Either @ the State level – or like Eisenhower did in Arkansas : @ the federal direction.

  2. Art April 24th, 2015 at 9:54 pm

REPUBS have gone insane. Betty McCray please call the national guard and have those traitors arrested and put in federal prison.James Robinson you are about to get a bed in Federal Pen I hope.

  3. granpa.usthai April 24th, 2015 at 10:05 pm

probably suspended her for not being at work?
as Mayor, she has the authority to request the Governor of Missouri send in the national guard to restore order. I would, with the explicit orders IN WRITING to shoot any WHITE RACIST NAZI who attempted to stop the peoples government officials from performing their elected duties.
This act goes beyond the typical ‘good ole WHITE boys’ and into the realm of WHITE RACIST TERRORIST continued attempt to overthrow the Government of the United States of America.

  4. Dwendt44 April 25th, 2015 at 12:08 am

    Can you say ‘sore losers’?

  5. Jus'speakin'th'truth April 25th, 2015 at 12:10 am

WOW! You realize these are two different towns (Parma, Kinloch), two different mayor-elects (Tyrus Byrd, Betty McCray), and two different incidents? Or, do they both look alike to you people?

And, BTW, the outgoing mayor of Kinloch, the outgoing alderman of Kinloch, and the city attorney serving the impeachment papers in Kinloch are all African-American, too. But, please, proceed with the faux race-rage. It’s entertaining watching liberal bigots make such fools of themselves. It’s especially fun watching Colmes make such an utterly ignorant and ill-informed post where he doesn’t even seem to be aware that he’s mixed up two different stories and combined them into one.

    • whatthe46 April 25th, 2015 at 1:35 am

WOW! you realize that people here know how to fk’n read right? you realize that this post did not mention the new Parma Mayor?

      • Barry Shitpeas April 25th, 2015 at 3:42 am

It didn’t have to. The first paragraph of the story implies it’s Parma.

    • whatthe46 April 25th, 2015 at 1:37 am

also, what i realized is that you didn’t complain about this disgrace.

    • Barry Shitpeas April 25th, 2015 at 3:43 am

      I have to agree.

    • Trippin McZoink April 25th, 2015 at 5:24 am

What I dislike about Alan Colmes is that he coddles right wing Koch suckers like you. Liberal bigots my left testicle, Grand Wizard.

  6. oldfart April 25th, 2015 at 1:06 am

Missouri WTF ? There’s gotta be something in their water…
Call in the national guard and clean the freaking house.

  7. whatthe46 April 25th, 2015 at 1:31 am

    wthif…going on!

  8. CHOCOL8MILK April 25th, 2015 at 3:28 am

I hope these racists are held accountable.

    • Barry Shitpeas April 25th, 2015 at 3:30 am

You might want to read up on the actual story, as this has nothing to do with racism. The story, as written here is misleading.

      • CHOCOL8MILK April 25th, 2015 at 3:42 am

Actually I have read this article and have been following the events. It is highly suspicious that police officers are resigning after she was elected (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/04/21/missouri-town-resignations/26111003/).
There is no reason given other than “safety concerns”.

Additionally, the deceptive practices of barring entry for the elected mayor is suspect in of itself. Honestly, do you believe that hindering the entry of a white elected official (if there was suspicion of voter fraud) would be allowed? As of right now it is all opinion and conjecture regarding her election. Thus far this all leans towards racism per the facts.

        • Barry Shitpeas April 25th, 2015 at 3:48 am

You’re making yourself look silly. This isn’t Parma, this is an entirely different story. Read the facts elsewhere, as the story here is either lazy and wrong, or deliberately deceitful.

          • CHOCOL8MILK April 25th, 2015 at 3:59 am

I’m discussing Mayor Betty McCray. I linked the incorrect article. You are correct. Here is the correct one. http://fox2now.com/2015/04/23/new-kinloch-mayor-blocked-by-police-from-entering-city-hall/

            Thank you for your correction.

          • Barry Shitpeas April 25th, 2015 at 4:08 am

No you’re not, and that’s clear to see as your comment talks about racism – parties in the McCray case are all black.

This story is misleading from the first paragraph, so it’s understandable that you jumped to a conclusion, but please, show some humility and stop digging yourself a hole.

          • CHOCOL8MILK April 25th, 2015 at 4:17 am

I’m referring to the full story that is linked by Alan. From what I read, I am leaning towards a racial bias. But time will tell. Like I wrote earlier, “Her election was certified, which means all the votes were vetted. My question is, what is going on here???” I hope I am wrong.

          • allison1050 April 25th, 2015 at 7:33 am

The last phrase of the 1st paragraph will send you to the article and video about Kinloch and Mayor (?) McCray.

          • CHOCOL8MILK April 25th, 2015 at 4:11 am

“…The election results were certified earlier this week by the St. Louis County Board of Elections, Kinloch’s outgoing administration refused to allow the city clerk to give McCray the oath of office, claiming voter fraud”. Her election was certified, which means all the votes were vetted. My question is, what is going on here???

          • allison1050 April 25th, 2015 at 7:29 am

            Cronyism Kinloch style.

          • allison1050 April 25th, 2015 at 7:18 am

Go back to the beginning of the 1st sentence and point and click on the 1st phrase and it will take you to another article that has more detail. Then the last sentence of the 1st paragraph you can point and click and it will take you elsewhere also.

          • Barry Shitpeas April 25th, 2015 at 11:57 am

…yet the very first paragraph implies that this is the same story. Nobody can seriously defend the way this story here is portrayed, and have any credibility.

          • allison1050 April 25th, 2015 at 1:52 pm

It’s a poorly written 1st paragraph. But I think the author’s confusion is that this is now twice in 1 week that a newly elected Black female mayor has had 1 problem or another but both is Missouri. I’m wondering about the little towns in Missouri personally but that’s just me I guess.

    • Uncle Frank April 25th, 2015 at 8:49 am

I don’t think this is about racism. This town has a history of crooks running city hall. In 2011, a former mayor was sentenced to 21 months in prison for spending tens of thousands of dollars in city money on his own expenses. This year, the municipal judge was disciplined for a “pattern of misconduct” in his private legal practice — he was using client funds to pay his own bills.

      • gil reyes April 25th, 2015 at 10:18 pm

Are you Kidding??? Really??? You don’t think this is outright Racism??? Open your eyes!!!!!

  9. Barry Shitpeas April 25th, 2015 at 3:28 am

20 cops for 299 people? Why does a town of 299 even need a mayor?

    • Guest April 25th, 2015 at 12:09 pm

Closer to 800 folks, but still three full time cops and several part timers seems like too many.

      • Barry Shitpeas April 25th, 2015 at 12:16 pm

Different story Dwendt, that’s Parma, and this is another town. I’m not sure if Alan Colmes is trying to be deliberately misleading, or whether it’s just a lazy mistake.

  10. allison1050 April 25th, 2015 at 7:15 am

Suspended (keeping in mind she hadn’t been sworn in) impeached what’s the difference?

  11. anothertoothpick April 25th, 2015 at 8:17 am

The white man is still running the show in Missouri emancipation or no emancipation, Thirteenth Amendment or no Thirteenth Amendment.

  12. Uncle Frank April 25th, 2015 at 8:34 am

This is an outrage. The Governor of the State of Missouri has the responsibility to order the immediate arrest of these seditionists and open the doors of the Kinloch City Hall for Mayor Betty McCray. Is racism so overt in this country again that it will take the force of law to prevent the neo-confederates from rerunning their failed screenplay?

    • Red Mann April 25th, 2015 at 7:11 pm

Yeah, their cries of voter fraud turn out to be registration errors. Actual voter fraud is something like 31/1000000000000 of votes cast.

  13. labman57 April 25th, 2015 at 8:54 am

Welcome to the mindset of self-serving social conservatives, wherein an election outcome is only valid when THEIR candidate is voted into office, and court decisions are only valid when THEIR argument is upheld.

  14. Republicans_are_Evil April 25th, 2015 at 10:16 am

    This is fascism, GOP style.

  15. Fossil1944 April 25th, 2015 at 10:38 am

So isn’t this just cause for the United States Justice department to use their full legal authority according to the provisions of Federal Law? What is the Missouri Attorney General doing about this situation?

    • allison1050 April 25th, 2015 at 1:57 pm

Obviously the state AG is doing nothing but who can blame him he may not even know. This is the 2nd little town this week with problems with newly elected mayors in Missouri…it’s almost like a rash.

  16. mea_mark April 25th, 2015 at 11:37 am

What a mess. For a better overview of what is happening this link is better … http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/metro/alleging-voter-fraud-kinloch-refuses-to-swear-in-new-mayor/article_aa5e23e8-4a16-5573-8ff8-9c7897e4a7f2.html I think a higher governing body needs to step in here and investigate what is going on and figure out how bad the corruption really is. Someone is hiding something and this should not be how governing works in America.

    • Suzanne McFly April 25th, 2015 at 12:18 pm

Did you read some of those comments from that article? That place is one in a million of similar places that is reliant on racism and the blind trust given to officials.

      • whatthe46 April 25th, 2015 at 10:22 pm

        brave girl you are.

  17. Gina April 25th, 2015 at 12:02 pm

Coup in the US, county level!!!

  18. Foundryman April 25th, 2015 at 1:58 pm

It’s beginning to look as though Missouri under republican control is as corrupt as Wisconsin is.

    • Red Mann April 25th, 2015 at 7:08 pm

Anywhere under Republican control becomes corrupt.

    • pszymeczek April 26th, 2015 at 9:00 pm

The current Governor of Missouri is Jay Nixon, a Democrat. He needs to step in to this situation and force the town to allow the duly elected Mayor to take office.

  19. amongoose April 25th, 2015 at 3:43 pm

    Suspended?
And the charges for her removal are what exactly?
When is her date with due process?
    .
Judgement meted out without trial or even charges?
Seems like someone forgot about that pesky 4th amendment.

    • granpa.usthai April 25th, 2015 at 5:51 pm

even the suspension would be illegal. The folks that are attempting to throw out the constitution are nothing more than a dis-elected lynch mob.

    • redastcyr April 26th, 2015 at 4:30 am

That is what I want to know How can she be suspended an she has not taken office yet These people are crazy

  20. gil reyes April 25th, 2015 at 10:14 pm

I can’t believe how bad the racism has come out in the USA.. This is horrible.. I am ashamed of our country right now.

    • whatthe46 April 25th, 2015 at 10:21 pm

they went bat guano crazy after our president was elected. no man of color should have been educated enough to get this far. and he was elected TWICE. it shows that we have come not only a long way, but there are more of us that don’t subscribe to stupidity and racism. the racist and the bigots are now the minority.

  21. James L Weeks April 26th, 2015 at 12:20 am

I am appalled to see this type of behavior in city hall of America. This is calling for immediate action to be

  22. redastcyr April 26th, 2015 at 4:28 am

This is outrageous We need outside officials to move in an take over that mob This is crazy

  23. pszymeczek April 26th, 2015 at 8:56 pm

The Governor of Missouri needs to step in on this one.

  24. Thomsy April 27th, 2015 at 9:25 am

Why is race mentioned? This had nothing to do with race according to the story. Just more Liberal race biting.
