Hint: After you get a new job, don’t post on social media that you hate what the job entails.

Kaitlyn Walls, a 27-year-old single mother from The Colony, Texas, recently landed a new job at a local daycare center, but she never got the chance to clock in.

After she secured the job, she posted on Facebook: “I start my new job today, but I absolutely hate working at day care. Lol, it’s all good, I just really hate being around a lot of kids.” In response, people started posting hateful comments. “I had all these girls attacking me because I don’t want to be around a lot of kids all the time,” Walls told CBSDFW.

Idiot. I’m certain it is probably a good thing.

    • whatthe46 April 28th, 2015 at 6:50 pm

ok. question. now i wonder if the interviewer asked her the obvious question. what in the hell possessed you to apply for a job where you would be working with kids? if you are that stupid, it was best that you not be around any children. quite possibly your own. Lord help them if she has any.

        she is that broke

        • whatthe46 April 28th, 2015 at 9:51 pm

          lol.

    • katkelly57 April 28th, 2015 at 8:04 pm

Hell to the yes! I wouldn’t want her around my kids.

  2. Gadea April 28th, 2015 at 6:51 pm

By her own admission, she hates being around kids. Daycare center is not the place for her.

  3. katkelly57 April 28th, 2015 at 8:05 pm

Just two wee words for this one…dumb, ass.

    • whatthe46 April 29th, 2015 at 12:30 am

and i’m grateful she was. and i’m sure the parents who would have been intrusting her with their precious gifts are too.

  4. StoneyCurtisll April 28th, 2015 at 8:56 pm

She should never have been given the job in the first place.

    • whatthe46 April 29th, 2015 at 12:29 am

she should never have applied for the job in the first place. good for the people who she thought she could share her stupidity was concerned enough to turn her in. (turn her in, if you will)

  5. arc99 April 28th, 2015 at 9:12 pm

I suppose she could claim that her deeply held religious beliefs require her to hate being around children that are not hers, and firing her would violate her first amendment rights.

This is Texas, so it just might work.

    • whatthe46 April 29th, 2015 at 12:28 am

hell, a guy was attempting to steal a mans car when he was getting ready to leave for work. the owner of the car went to his car and never noticed the guy was hiding from him. so when he backed out of his “drive-way” the would be auto theft’s foot got ran over. well, he won a civil suit for his injuries. i wanna say texas, could be wrong. could be florida. but it was in this country i know for sure… lol

    • Um Cara April 29th, 2015 at 7:59 am

That’s a pretty silly, tortured, illogical stab at Texas.

Sadly, Texas has very few worker protections – the employer would be more likely to successfully sue the new hire than the other way around.

If you are going to take a stupid swipe at Texas at least try to find an angle of attack that semi makes sense.

      • arc99 April 29th, 2015 at 4:56 pm

My analogy may be chronologically inaccurate since numerous bills in Texas are still under debate in the legislature.

But given the proposals currently floating around the Lone Star State, I think my analogy makes perfect sense.

Texas has introduced its own bills related to “Religious Freedom”

Folks do stuff they hate all the time because they need money. Of course she should have kept it to herself, it was foolish of her to not think it would get back to her employer. But not liking kids doesn’t make her a bad person. I hope she finds a job she enjoys soon, and has learned a lesson re: oversharing on public media re: ‘the children’.

Breeders are pretty kooky about their spawn – best to keep one’s opinions re: the little beasts to oneself, unless you want to get bullied by a bunch of people who are cranky because they haven’t slept a full 8 hours since their toddlers were born.

    • whatthe46 April 29th, 2015 at 12:24 am

“Folks do stuff they hate all the time because they need money. Of course she should have kept it to herself,…” sweet JESUS! i’m as happy as a “mosquito who is thinking its hurting an elephant its trying to screw” that she showed her true colors before working with children. no telling how she would have treated them. if only the police departments would show the same damn conviction and cruise their FB home pages to see what they are about. and they have the resources to do a better background check to see if they are about to hire rogue cops. lol

    • fahvel April 29th, 2015 at 3:40 am

when you accept that people do what they hate for money you define what is so very wrong within the usa.

      • Um Cara April 29th, 2015 at 7:20 am

        Ridiculous. It’s a worldwide phenomenon.

    • Bunya April 29th, 2015 at 4:40 pm

“Folks do stuff they hate all the time because they need money”.
      .
…and I’m sure they post on-line, for the boss to see, how much they hate that friggin’ job.

      • Um Cara April 29th, 2015 at 5:52 pm

Yep, definitely have seen folks whine about their job On social media

i just stole the hell out of that one. thanks william. lol. almost. almost pissed myself.

  8. allison1050 April 28th, 2015 at 11:00 pm

But isn’t that just life? Most people don’t love their jobs and when you’re the 1 looking for a job in these hard pressed times you need to shut the hell up mommy!!

    • whatthe46 April 29th, 2015 at 12:17 am

ah, if you’re going to be dealing with the public/children, you don’t just take the job if you know you are going to hate it in the first place. especially if it’s a job that involve people you don’t want to work with or be around. i.e., white cops working with the black community.

      • rg9rts April 29th, 2015 at 4:54 am

She is young enough to understand the power of social media…just plain stupid

      • Um Cara April 29th, 2015 at 7:51 am

Folks gotta feed themselves, I’m sure she took the job because it was the first one she got. Sometimes you just gotta feed yourself before you take the opportunity to live your dream. Not liking kids isn’t the same as being incapable of taking care of them.

        • whatthe46 April 29th, 2015 at 9:08 am

i understand she needs to feed herself, but, she didn’t have to apply for that job. would you want someone caring for your child knowing they don’t like working with them? i wouldn’t.

          • Um Cara April 29th, 2015 at 9:22 am

She probably applied to lots of jobs, and just got this one. No, if I had kids my preference would be that either my wife or myself would stay home with them. Though that might be as hard to do as finding a job she loves is for this young woman.

          • whatthe46 April 29th, 2015 at 10:20 am

i hate to keep saying this, but my point is, that is the one place she had no business even applying to. and she proved she shouldn’t have applied by doing the stupidest thing, and that’s right after getting hired she complains about having to work with them.

          • Larry Schmitt April 30th, 2015 at 1:38 pm

I agree. I have always been glad I’ve never had to take a job involving serving people food, or cleaning up after them. I never applied for any job in a restaurant.

          • whatthe46 April 30th, 2015 at 8:47 pm

            when i was 16, i worked at wendy’s for 5 mins.

          • Larry Schmitt April 30th, 2015 at 9:12 pm

Couldn’t take it any longer than that?

          • whatthe46 April 30th, 2015 at 9:24 pm

            hell no!

      • allison1050 April 29th, 2015 at 8:26 am

I see and understand your point but I was also thinking of the fact that she herself is a mother and single at that so I know just dealing with her own children isn’t going to get any easier for her. And sometimes when 1 needs a job and is offered 1 that we don’t care for we have to just suck it up and know that down the road something else may come along. Like most in this country I grew up in a single parent home and no my mom wasn’t “in love” with her job but tried to look for the bright spots while she gained experience and looked for something else. Some are better suited for night watchmen working in a warehouse at night then they get to deal with the 4 legged rats and some 2 legged rats.

        • whatthe46 April 29th, 2015 at 9:04 am

i get where you’re coming from. but, i think we in a whole other ball park when it comes to the care of children that rely on your kindness to care for them. and if you don’t care for kids then you surely shouldn’t be working with them.

          • allison1050 April 29th, 2015 at 3:47 pm

I agree with that but as I said if 1 needs a job and most single moms do then she needs to suck it and paint that smile on her face and do the job with her own little ones in mind and their needs. Most of us don’t/didn’t have jobs that we just lovvved but we do/did them.

  9. frambley1 April 28th, 2015 at 11:01 pm

Its too bad Obama made her apply for and get hired to do a job she would have hated.

  10. bpollen April 29th, 2015 at 4:35 am

The children in the daycare center tweeted their thanks for the child-friendly staffing decision. I think.

Facebook is an excellent communication tool but not a good spot for complaining and never about your job or coworkers that’s what the PM’s are for.
