The Islamophobe who organized the anti-Muhammad cartoon contest where two fatal shootings took place is blaming the media for making her a victim.

Geller battled CNN’s Alisyn Camerota over whether the incendiary event had provoked violence.

“Increasingly, we’re abridging our freedoms so as not to offend savages,” Geller alleged. “The very idea that if something offends me, or I’m insulted by something I’ll kill you and somehow this is okay with members of the elite media, and academia, is outrageous.”

Camerota read from the keynote speech given at the event disparaging Islam. Geller has made a career of warning of the “Islamization” of America; the Southern Poverty Law Center lists her as an extremist.

“He’s entitled to his opinion, end of story,” Geller said. “So what? So he said that. And frankly, what he said was true…The fact is that we need to have this discussion, there’s a problem in Islam.”

I am worried about Pamela Geller and all the hate she is stirring up, she is the enemy within.

  2. El Martyachi May 4th, 2015 at 11:37 am

She’s a provocateur, that’s what she does. You don’t have to like her, but you should at least acknowledge that her and people like her serve as reliable barometers of countries’ freedom indices.

    • mea_mark May 4th, 2015 at 12:01 pm

She is more like a barometer of the hate based on ignorance that has spread throughout our culture.

      • El Martyachi May 4th, 2015 at 12:11 pm

Agreed. The two fellows who attempted to shoot up her venue seem(ed) pretty hateful and were likely ignorant of the first amendment.

        • tracey marie May 4th, 2015 at 12:21 pm

freedom has limits(selfimposed) attached. Just because you can, should you? Geller and her sycophants have not learned that fact. Don’t you agree

            Jingoism by Supermarionation.

            Cripes.

Extreme hate can provoke extreme reactions. In this case the local muslims who were the target of Gellers didn’t take the bait. The shooters came from out of state, proving who really is the most hateful and evil. Geller and her followers of hate.

They do/did put their religion above the Constitution, not unlike a few christian groups we’ve heard of.

I saw this interview this morning and wondered why this cow wasn’t asked her opinion of stirring the pot.

  4. tracey marie May 4th, 2015 at 12:20 pm

Pamela geller openly and loudly promoted a video on her site calling for the death of all muslims in India. The VHP a violent hindu group.

This scum bucket from New York takes her hate act to Texas then two people from Phoenix go there to kill the haters get killed themselves then she goes back to New York leaving others to deal with her mess, if she were real she should have had her little show in her house but she is a coward and now Texas has to wait for the crazies to come and blow something up.

    “…there’s a problem in Islam.”

Yes, there’s a problem in Islam, but there is a serious problem with a nut like Geller who purposely baits Muslims and then pretends to be the victim. She is the lowest form of scum.

America’s much vaunted “freedom of speech” comes with a corollary responsibility for the consequences, like yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theatre, the person indulging their freedom of speech must likewise be held responsible for the consequences of their actions.

If Ms. Geller believes that there is something wrong in Islam and that she has the remedy, she should go to the middle east to apply her remedy. While I don’t know how many Islamic there are in Texas, I believe I do know why she went there. What she has proven is that the Islamic in Texas are as peaceable as Texan Baptists, maybe more so.

    • JCC May 4th, 2015 at 7:15 pm

The prohibition against yelling ‘Fire’ is due to the fact that a rational person will make judgements based on that speech which might lead to injury to themselves or a third party — based on intentionally erroneous (vs accidentally, or even negligently) distributed information.

By placing the blame on the speaker in this case, you’re basically saying that the Islamists and terrorists are *not* responsible for their actions… that they’re animals acting passionately rather than humans acting rationally (or failing to).

Where I come from, not holding people to expectations you’d hold others of humanity to is called the “soft bigotry of low expectations.”

      • OldLefty May 4th, 2015 at 7:30 pm

No one is saying that the attackers are not responsible.
They are only pointing out that it’s a racket.

But if I know that my neighbor is crazy and paranoid, and I tell him that YOU are out to get him, and that every time you drive past his house, you are sending transmissions about him to his enemies, and he shoots you, well I am not responsible, but if you die or are seriously injured, I should feel like a schmuck for such a self serving stunt.

But my greatest complaint is that it is most likely that these are the very types of people who nurtured this radicalism during the cold war, when they feared a different boogey man.

Pamela Gellar stirs up trouble, then cries “persecution” when folks disapprove of her hatred and intolerance. Sounds a lot like something those of a certain religion do,

  9. StoneyCurtisll May 4th, 2015 at 5:59 pm

The only thing Pam Geller is missing is a postage stamp mustache.

  10. StoneyCurtisll May 4th, 2015 at 6:52 pm

Allison Camerota used to be the Fox “news” morning right wing junkyard dog..
Now she works for CNN…(and not so supportive of fascist scum like Geller anymore)..

  11. Red Eye Robot May 4th, 2015 at 7:00 pm

the left in a nutshell: “Pam Geller had the audacity to be raped without four male witnesses present”

    • OldLefty May 4th, 2015 at 7:22 pm

      What are you talking about????

Pam Geller simply has a great racket going.

      • allison1050 May 4th, 2015 at 7:56 pm

        Now that’s certainly true.

    • allison1050 May 4th, 2015 at 7:56 pm

If pam ever wondered if there was a way to ring a jihad dinner bell in texas ?

i think she is about to find out

  14. liberalMD May 4th, 2015 at 10:30 pm

This woman intentionally antagonized a group of people that has a very small fringe population that will inappropriately respond to her antics. She has known for months what kind of problems she would incite as she hired sufficient security to protect her people. Someday someone will teach her the true meaning of “victim”.

Since Pam Gellar is such a media whore, I’m wondering if she wasn’t trying to drum up attention for herself by sending an engraved invitation to those shooters. Something to ponder.
