According to police, two Utah Valley University students were injured in an “accidental” shooting just before their gun safety class began. The 23-year-old unintentional shooter went to the first day of his firearms training class early, then shot a 25-year-old classmate while showing off his new handgun.     Stories like this crack me up. On the lighter side, all one needs is the headline, y’know? The text of the article is almost superfluous, even if it is explainable.

    Bu-ut, I guess I may as well pump the brakes on the chuckling comment on what happened.
    It was the first day of class and these guys were outside, waiting for the class to begin. One thing we can draw from this is the pistol-owner certainly needs this class (presuming it is a good one).

    Tough decision for the committee this time. Who gets NRA Shooter of the Month, the Kentucky sheriff who “accidentally” shot his mother at a wedding the week before Mother’s Day, or the idiot who shot himself and a friend before a gun safety class?

      Oh, not even close. The wedding shooter.
      At least the idiots in the gun safety class had a reason to have the guns with them. I am still trying to figure out why Sheriff needed a gun at a Baptist wedding.

    This is why we should not allow guns. Most gun owners are too stupid to use them properly.
    The heck with the background check. We need an intelligent test before allowing someone to have a gun.
