Jeb Bush would have made the same disastrous foreign policy decision as his brother.

In an except of an interview with Fox’s Megyn Kelly set to be aired Monday evening, 2016 presidential hopeful Jeb Bush said he would have invaded Iraq, and reminded everybody that so would Hillary Clinton.

To be clear, there appears to be some confusion between Kelly’s question and Bush’s answer. Kelly asked Bush whether, knowing what he knows now, he would still invade, whereas Bush appears to answer according to the available intelligence in 2003, which was wrong but ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

“In retrospect the intelligence that everybody saw, that the world saw*, not just the United States, was faulty,” Bush said. “Once we invaded and took out Saddam Hussein, we didn’t focus on security first.”

Jeb’s not very bright even for a Bush. CIA Director, DIA, US Marines, MI-6, France, et al “available intelligence in 2003” proved Iraq had no WMD’s in 2002 a full 6 months before Halliburton’s $6 T+ faux oil war left 6,800+ KIA, 970,000 Vets injured, and up to 2 M unarmed Iraqi women, babies, children and teens slaughtered for Big Oil profit.

“Bush knew Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction” “Two former CIA officers say the president squelched top-secret intelligence, and a briefing by George Tenet, months before invading Iraq.” http://www.salon.com/2007/09/06/bush_wmd/ Jeb / Cheney’16~ fools gold.

Only evil people have no conscience. They do things against the wishes of the masses and the laws that govern the world to fulfill their own agendas. W…Cheney…Rummy…Rice etc should all be in prison for their war crimes against humanity and putting America in a major recession. I guess accountability will come when they meet their maker and it won’t be pretty…

      • fahvel May 11th, 2015 at 12:05 pm

well well said – evil is what they are about except at a texas ranch bbq

  2. whatthe46 May 10th, 2015 at 9:25 pm

pretty stupid. so, he’s saying even if he were told sadam had no wmd’s he still would have lied and invaded. makes since he’s a bush.

Jeb Bush admits that venality and mendacity are dominant Bush family traits. Apparently, it’s genetic…so we can’t hold it against him, but, we don’t have to vote for him. The country should follow Jeb’s brother’s wisdom… “here’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me–you can’t get fooled again.” President George W Bush. 9/17/2002

Maybe I’ve entered early stage dementia but as I recall Europe didn’t believe that crap nor did they want to go to war because of that crappy lie.

    • fahvel May 11th, 2015 at 12:03 pm

you got it Al – noone here had the vaguest confidence in the blathering powell bush cheney melange of lies and eventual horror.

  9. crc3 May 11th, 2015 at 10:13 am

Rarely Jeb Bush shows signs of intelligence. This is not one of those times….

  10. Maxx44 May 11th, 2015 at 11:16 am

The genesis of the first gulf war under Bush the First can be traced to when Saint Ronald cut and ran after the Marines barracks bombing in Beirut. That was a test to see how the U.S. would respond. When RR put his tail between his legs and ran, the jihadists, including Sadam Hussein, were emboldened and, as they say, the rest is history.

the man is a putain bush full of his elitist garbage and his bro might get mad at him too. Fkr!

  12. craig7120 May 11th, 2015 at 12:17 pm

I don’t blame him in his support of his brother. I think I would be shocked if he didn’t say these things. That said, it’s quite clear he should not be considered for any position in the political arena, to say the least POTUS.

Possibly sabotaging his own chances of nomination that wouldn’t stop political donations.

    Thanks for your honesty Jeb.

    • Tim Coolio May 11th, 2015 at 8:29 pm

Heard two years before W became president, Jeb wanted Clinton to invade Iraq.

  14. arc99 May 11th, 2015 at 2:03 pm

Even Laura Ingraham is ridiculing Jeb’s comments

And now there’s one less clown in the clown car……………

  16. Gadea May 11th, 2015 at 6:13 pm

Hillary Clinton regretted having cast her vote for the invasion of Iraq.
If Hillary knew what she knows now, she would not have voted to invade, attack, bomb Iraq.
So is Jeb Bush saying that he would have okayed the attack on Iraq even with the current information. Knowing that Judith Miller, NYTIMES, Paul Wolfowitz all lied.

    • Tim Coolio May 11th, 2015 at 8:26 pm

Dems like her were blackmailed into voting yes for the neocon wars, if they voted no they came home to commercials saying they were weak on security and not supporting the troops.

      • Talkin_Truth May 11th, 2015 at 9:44 pm

True but that is still no excuse in my mind.

I’ve always liked Hillary but she made me cringe at that vote. The same for all those Democrats who voted for the Patriot Act.

There are times when a politician has to vote the right way and risk the consequences.

  17. Tim Coolio May 11th, 2015 at 8:27 pm

Thank you Obama and the Dems for not leading our soldiers
to death or bankrupting the budget by sending troops into
every conflict in the world, we are NOT in any new millitary
quagmires now, and he got Syria to give up ALL of their
chemical weapons without millitary intervention, he’s
avoided getting the millitary involved in the Ukraine mess,
he got a multi country Iran nuclear deal framework, got the
world, including Russia and China to impose sanctions on
Iran forcing them to negotiate, and he’s ended the idiotic
    cold war with Cuba!!

    • Talkin_Truth May 11th, 2015 at 9:42 pm

      Thanks Obama!

Expect more trillion dollar wars if Jeb is elected.

I have this picture in my head: George and Jeb with their arms around each other, and George is wearing a shirt with this on the front…
