Republican State Senator Arrested For Trying To Trade Rent For Sex

Republican Vermont State Senator Normal McAllister was arrested for both sexual assault and for pressuring tenants to pay for rent with sex.
The Republican lawmaker pleaded not guilty to those charges yesterday.
Prosecutors charge that McAllister tried to solicit sex from tenants and employees in negotiations over rent payments. One woman specifically said McAllister “would ask her for sexual favors in exchange for her continuing to live and work at the property.”
And there’s this unbelievable tidbit:
Police also allege that McAllister asked the second woman if she would be interested in traveling with him to several farms in the Richford area to have sex with migrant farm laborers in exchange for cash. McAllister said he and the woman could split the profits, but she refused the offer, court papers state.
There was also a third woman who he had allegedly sexually assaulted on numerous occasions. The police recorded some of McAllister’s phone calls and in one of them, he apologized for causing one woman “physical and emotional pain.”

Answer: No.

Next time, if you want to deflect from a story about a family values “pimp”, try posting a real story based on facts.
