Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal says “secularized America is persecuting conservative Christians.”

In an interview with Iowa talk radio host Simon Conway yesterday, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal took advantage of a discussion of the attempted attack on an anti-Islam event in Garland, Texas, to bring up his favorite topic: how a secular America is persecuting conservative Christians.

He somehow managed to link the two topics by implying that liberals are not concerned enough about radical Islam and only think it’s okay to discriminate against Christians like Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson.

“In America, there used to be a time with the left, and the media even, celebrated diversity and tolerated free speech and religious liberty,” he said. “Simon, the sad truth is that’s no longer true. They tolerate anybody that agrees with them and nobody else.” – See more at: http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/jindal-secularized-america-liberals-who-don-t-share-our-judeo-christian-heritage-are-persecu#sthash.0wEjrFlc.dpuf

I see he didn’t offer any examples either.

“…They tolerate anybody that agrees with them and nobody else.” that fool actually said that.

  4. allison1050 May 15th, 2015 at 9:48 pm

Okay, okay so I forgot to send all of you regular posters that this was the week that the clown car occupants were going to form a conga line claiming that they and their nut followers were being persecuted!

  5. toadUso May 15th, 2015 at 9:56 pm

His big example is the left WANTS Duck Dynasty cancelled and how liberals WANT everyone to think and act like them Wanting is persecution? That means the American Family Association – a right wing Christian organization – has been persecuting people since 1977, most recently with their Million Moms WANTING television programs, commercials, the Girl Scouts, and many other things, to be cancelled or changed – in other words thinking and acting like them. (check the website) The entire right wing social agenda is about limits on thoughts and actions so that the nation is like them with anything else not being tolerated. Pot, meet Kettle!

      there’s your sharia law.

  6. Beau Phillips May 15th, 2015 at 10:06 pm

Remember Piyush it’s not paranoia if they are really out to get you…

  7. Chris May 15th, 2015 at 10:17 pm

Two things here, Bobby: no way are you ever going to be President OR Vice President.

And your state of Louisiana continues to languish compared to others, no matter how you try to distract everyone from that fact by playing the “persecuted Christian” card.

I don’t know what to tell you after that. Neither Louisiana nor Iowa wants you.

    • nola878 May 15th, 2015 at 11:00 pm

I think Piyush is angling for a cabinet position.

He sure is blowing a lot of tax payer money traveling to get his name on the national stage…

      • Chris May 15th, 2015 at 11:11 pm

You may be right. And in the up=down world of Republicans, the one he’d probably angle for would be EPA administrator so he could wreck it.

        Pray for the country.

        • nola878 May 15th, 2015 at 11:26 pm

Local levee boards down here wanted to pursue a lawsuit against several oil companies for the hundreds of square miles of wet land losses over the years they caused.

Naturally, Piush was against it…so much that he pushed a bill that would retroactively prohibit any such law suit. Of course, the state legislature eagerly made it into law.

Head of the EPA…a scary thought indeed.

What did you expect, they’re probably his biggest donors. Gotta protect your friends.

  8. Mainah May 15th, 2015 at 10:41 pm

This from the same dink that denied his own religious upbringing, condemns another religion and assumes that everyone on the left is an atheist. I wonder if his parents are proud?

  9. whatthe46 May 15th, 2015 at 11:31 pm

one thing i’ve noticed is that they have absolutely “NOTHING” to run on, so this is all they have. every last one of them continues to bring up “christianity.” sounds to me they are just praying. people are getting employed, there’s affordable healthcare, the economy is doing better with this leadership and they know they can’t say anything bad about it and they know they have no way to make it better. so it’s either, christians are being persecuted, women have no rights to their own bodies or war war war. all of which everyone is sick of hearing. and bonehead just proved that when it comes to the really serious issues, that truly affects everyone, they just stomp their feet, stick their thumbs in their mouths and walk off like a 2 y/o toddler who thought he was about to get a sweet treat only to find it was sugar free.

  10. Talkin_Truth May 16th, 2015 at 12:39 am

The one thing Muslims, Jews, Christians and Hindus have in common is that their conservative wings all have a persecution complex.

  11. oldfart May 16th, 2015 at 12:39 am

He said it himself, party of stupid. this appears to be another “throw it on the wall” attempt
    at establishing their wedge issues.

  12. granpa.usthai May 16th, 2015 at 2:34 am

    Konservative Kristians persecute AMERICANS.

    • fahvel May 16th, 2015 at 4:21 am

is that a stuttering poop? Kka!

  13. fahvel May 16th, 2015 at 4:20 am

do people like this actually believe there is a substantial base of ignorance out there to agree or support their own terrified madness?

    • Suzanne McFly May 16th, 2015 at 9:43 am

That is the only reason that makes any sort of sense. They believe their voters are absolute morons.

  14. robert May 16th, 2015 at 5:38 am

a draw Muhammad cartoon and only shooters 2 show up

somehow bobby your radical threat isn’t all that credible to begin with but christians do a great job fooling you

  15. rg9rts May 16th, 2015 at 5:50 am

Bet he can’t name one instance of christians being persecuted unless he includes losing tax exemption for being political

  16. thinkingwomanmillstone May 16th, 2015 at 8:22 am

Your very own Jesus would have chosen to be a member of the Left you so despise, Governor.

  17. Anomaly 100 May 16th, 2015 at 9:02 am

Umm….I’m a left wing Christian and feel totally not persecuted.

    • Suzanne McFly May 16th, 2015 at 9:42 am

Me to. Are we being left out or are they doing it wrong?

      • Anomaly 100 May 16th, 2015 at 10:01 am

        They’re doing it wrong.

        • Dwendt44 May 16th, 2015 at 12:31 pm

You need to start breaking the law more. Use public property and interfere with the public schools more.

        • Mainah May 16th, 2015 at 12:54 pm

          amen sistah!

  18. William May 16th, 2015 at 11:26 am

Liberal Christians are usually too busy being Christian, and don’t have time to pick on conservative Christians.

  19. alpacadaddy May 16th, 2015 at 11:37 am

So the ‘Duck F$ck’ crowd feels ‘persecuted’ for being called out for spewing intolerance & bigotry? And RWNJ’s feel ‘persecuted’ because they can’t freely & publicly display their intolerance and discriminate against those they disagree with? Considering his advise to his fellow troglodytes to ‘stop being the Party of stupid’ he is setting a poor example!

    WWJD (Who Would Jesus Diss?)

    • William May 16th, 2015 at 11:50 am

When a group of camo dew-rag wearing hillbilly’s become the go to guys for right wing Christianity, I think they have defeated their own argument.

      • cogitoergodavesum May 16th, 2015 at 12:29 pm

While people were eating breakfast, Robertson described in graphic detail some of the things he wants to do to atheists. One can only hope that fear of Jesus will keep him from acting out his fantasies.

        • William May 16th, 2015 at 12:43 pm

Well I suppose if Ted Nugent can be the right wing example of a patriot, than why can’t these guys be the voice of Conservative Christian values

          • Jack E Raynbeau May 16th, 2015 at 3:57 pm

Are they trying to shock the Pastafarian out of him?

  20. crc3 May 16th, 2015 at 12:48 pm

The flip side of this so-called “persecution” lies bigotry, prejudice, and hate against non-Christians, minorities, women, and gays/lesbians. Christ would not approve of any of these so-called “christians” who spew their venomous actions. Living in a country where these people are allowed to call the shots is a slippery slope none of us want to cross. They all need to be voted out and made insignificant in a progressive society….

  21. David Ish May 16th, 2015 at 5:14 pm

They should “XTIANS” be forced to obey the instruction of Jesus Christ. One instruction is “Give ALL to the poor.” All Christians would rather be die by ISIS times 1000 times and have their daughters and grand-daughters be raped that obey that order of Christ.
