Before Bristol Palin walks down the aisle, her medal of honor winner fiancé may have to shed his wife.

RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that Bristol Palin’s new fiancé has a secret wife!

According to a marriage certificate in Dakota Meyer’s name, he was married to a Michigan woman named Cassandra Wain.

The official document shows Meyer and Wain were hitched in Campbellsville, Kentucky, on May 20, 2008.

However, it remains unclear when — or even if — the two are officially divorced since information about the marriage is sealed, making it impossible to determine the current status of their union.

That’s not really that important to some folks. You know, white trash..oops, did I type that out loud?

    • Um Cara May 16th, 2015 at 10:03 am

I think a medal of honor winner deserves a bit more respect than to be called ‘white trash’.

      • Budda May 16th, 2015 at 10:07 am

I wasn’t referring necessarily to him.

      • Carla Akins May 16th, 2015 at 10:38 am

I would typically agree with you, but he has written a book, go on tour to promote it and shopped a television show about his life. He has no expectation of privacy.

He has made public announcements about his alcoholism and PTSD but “got over them” on his own without help he’s stated publicly, which is a big red flag and honestly downright harmful to other vets.

I couldn’t care less about the Palin brood or its newest potential member and how they choose to live their lives, but as long as they seek out public attention they have no sympathy from me when these things show up. The only one deserving of sympathy here is the first wife.

        • Um Cara May 17th, 2015 at 12:59 am

He has no expectation of privacy.
Privacy/schmivacy. If he wrote something stupid in a book it’s certainly reasonable to call him out on it. I just think a medal of honor winner has demonstrated sufficient character as to not deserve to be called trash for having married someone seven years ago.

          • Carla Akins May 17th, 2015 at 7:39 am

I don’t think he’s trash for having married someone when he was young. I don’t even think he’s trash for his involvement with the Palin family. I believe him to a proven liar, that has an innocent party (his first wife) dealing with the fallout of his actions.

He wrote in his autobiography that his mother abandoned him and he never saw her again. He made this part of the narrative that created the type of man he grew into and it came to be that took the action he did that earned his MOH.

However, his mother signed the marriage certificate as a witness. It’s just one of many, many inconsistencies in his story. He needs to act like the stand-up guy he’s supposed to be. I can respect the action he took during the war, but it doesn’t exempt him for life. A worthy person wouldn’t put an innocent party through this.

          • Um Cara May 17th, 2015 at 10:04 am

I can respect the action he took during the war, but it doesn’t exempt him for life.

Of course not, I would never suggest such a thing. And if he has untreated PTSD as you earlier mentioned, it’s possible he will do strange things. If he has at least partially reconciled with his mother – perhaps that will aid his recovery. I wish he, his fiance, and Ms. Wain well.

          • Carla Akins May 17th, 2015 at 10:07 am

Me too, and I hope he seeks and gets the help he needs.

        • Alan May 17th, 2015 at 8:35 pm

Right, Carla. With reality TV they’ve chosen to live their lives out in public and they must take what comes with that.

        • KatieAnnieOakley May 18th, 2015 at 6:14 pm

Exactly. How on Earth did the world find out about this? heh.

      • fahvel May 16th, 2015 at 1:37 pm

why? sleep with trash and your past becomes buried in detritus.

      • Chris May 16th, 2015 at 7:17 pm

That’s his “get out of jail free” card for possible bigamy?

        • Um Cara May 16th, 2015 at 7:55 pm

There is as much evidence he is a bigamist as there is that you are. So by your logic it is reasonable to call you “trash”?

          • Chris May 16th, 2015 at 8:57 pm

Two things here. MY point is that you seem to think if one gets the Medal of Honor, it obviates any reprehensible action for which he may be responsible.

I think the point that Budda was making is the old saying, “you lie down with dogs, you get fleas.” Getting married to a Palin? Yeah, guilt by association.

You’re not very familiar with how the Palins act and why they deserve that name, are you? Do a little research and get back to us.

          • Um Cara May 17th, 2015 at 12:55 am

MY point is that you seem to think if one gets the Medal of Honor, it obviates any reprehensible action for which he may be responsible.
Because I think it unfair to call someone trash for having married someone? No offence, but your point, erm.. well – it sucks.

You argue like a con, extend my modest point to ridiculous lengths & argue against that ridiculous extrapolation. LOL@U

You’re not very familiar with how the Palins act and why they deserve that name, are you?

Two things here. I know plenty about the Palins. I don’t like that term applied to anyone.

Oh, one more thing, I was suggesting it unfair to label this hero as trash, I never weighed in on the Palins. (To be clear though: Budda explained after my post that he was referring to the Palins, not this young man.)

        • robert May 17th, 2015 at 3:22 am

          palin political clout

that train left the station a long time ago

      • fredoandme May 17th, 2015 at 10:26 am

why? just because? in everything he does?
        hogwash.

        • Um Cara May 17th, 2015 at 10:55 am

Yes, in everything he does. OF course that is obviously what I said. If he runs over an entire kindergarten class, it’s OK since he has won a Medal of Honor. I can’t believe you disagree!

          • fredoandme May 17th, 2015 at 12:11 pm

oh, DO believe that i have less than zero respect for this assclown. never did, never will.

          • Um Cara May 17th, 2015 at 12:55 pm

            LOL. You sound charming.

  2. Um Cara May 16th, 2015 at 10:03 am

it impossible to determine the current status of their union.

This is what is known as ‘not news’. Instead of “Radar Online: Bristol Palin’s Fiancé May Still Be Married” as a headline, it would have been every bit as accurate to say ‘There is no evidence that Bristol Palin’s Fiancé May Still Be Married”

Leave this HERO alone, for crying out loud.

    • Budda May 16th, 2015 at 10:04 am

He maybe/is a hero but he’s throwing in with goobers

      • Um Cara May 16th, 2015 at 10:06 am

I’ve done some pretty kooky things in my life, I’m sure the same is true for you.

Neither of us has ever won a medal of honor, however.

        • Budda May 16th, 2015 at 10:13 am

          True

        • dave-dr-gonzo May 16th, 2015 at 12:14 pm

Hey, I won first prize in my elementary school’s science fair when I was in fifth grade! Booyah and FTW!

And who’s to say that Dakota and Bristol aren’t fresh converts to the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints Church? Sister wives are, after all, this year’s “19 Brats and Breeding”… er, quiverful!

          • Um Cara May 17th, 2015 at 1:04 am

I won first prize in my elementary school’s science fair when I was in fifth grade! Booyah and FTW!
What was it on? I judge a local middle school’s science fair every year & am blown away by the quality of research some of the students do.

        • Feb thirteen May 18th, 2015 at 2:51 pm

Bar set pretty, pretty, pretty low for the Palins by the Palin supporters

          • Um Cara May 18th, 2015 at 3:07 pm

If one were to support the Palins, one’s bar would be extremely low by definition.

    • Alan May 17th, 2015 at 8:33 pm

      How DARE we speculate!

    • Albert Thombs May 18th, 2015 at 12:10 pm

  3. labman57 May 16th, 2015 at 4:00 pm

Yeah, but it’s a “traditional marriage”, so it’s all good.

    • Chris May 16th, 2015 at 7:16 pm

On another note, I wonder what Sister Sarah will have to say about this; she’s never quiet about ANYTHING.

Bristol Meyer….hahaha…….just laughed so hard tears ran down my legs!!!

Where are the “sanctity of marriage” proponents?!?!

  9. James Thompson May 18th, 2015 at 12:29 pm

why does the license say Valid only in the commonwealth of Kentucky?

    • Kristine Rizzuto May 18th, 2015 at 1:16 pm

Because a license is only good in the state in which it was issued. You can’t get a licenses in Kentucky and then go to Texas to get married.

  10. notadailycaller May 18th, 2015 at 1:19 pm

  11. KatieAnnieOakley May 18th, 2015 at 6:13 pm
