Jeb Continues To Bungle Iraq Issue
[su_publirb]
The more Jeb Bush talks about Iraq, the worse it gets. MSNBC reports what Bush said:
“The focus should be ‘Knowing what we know now, Mr. President, should you have kept 10,000 troops in Iraq?’” Bush said. “ISIS didn’t exist when my brother was president. Al Qaeda in Iraq was wiped out when my brother was president. There were mistakes made in Iraq for sure, but the surge created a fragile but stable Iraq that the president could have built on and it would have not allowed ISIS [to grow].”
According to Bush, Obama “abandoned” Iraq based on “popular sentiment” against leaving troops behind. He said that decision loomed even larger this week now that the U.S.-backed Iraqi government had withdrawn from the key city of Ramadi in the face of an ISIS assault.
But he’s wrong on the facts as Tina Nguyen points out:
…in 2008, W. Bush signed an agreement with the Iraqi government to withdraw all troops from Iraq. Politifact noted earlier that the 2008 agreement had “no stipulations about a specific number of American military personnel to be left behind,” and that when Obama attempted to renegotiate the deal to include a small number of troops left behind, the talks broke down after Iraq refused to grant prosecutorial immunity to American troops. (They rated Bush’s talking point “mostly false” when he trotted it out last week.)

” Bush said. “ISIS didn’t exist when my brother was president.
Actually. Your brother created it. I suppose if another country invaded North America, bombed us, killed 200,000 of our people, lynched our President and tortured our citizens, something like an ISIS form of armed rebellion to oust the invaders might appear…but that’s just speculation on my part.
According to Bush, Obama “abandoned” Iraq based on “popular sentiment”
No….actually President Obama was complying with an agreement signed by your Brother.
in 2008 George W. Bush signed the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement. It included a deadline of 31 December 2011, before which “all the United States Forces shall withdraw from all Iraqi territory”.
I don’t think Jeb is disqualified because of his policies, or politics. I believe he is disqualified because of his complete inability to grasp history, reality and the concept of culpability.

Facts! Pshaw!
You could use facts to prove anything that’s even remotely true!

No wonder even his mom Babs Bush said on Son Jeb in 2016: ‘We’ve Had Enough Bushes in the White House!’ ‘Knowing what we know now’, who would be so dim to hire Cheney’s war criminals as advisers today?

When one either cannot defend the indefensible or is too afraid to tell the truth, one does what Jeb does—one lies, keeps lying, and enlists his buddies to repeat the lie, hoping it gains traction. If one listens to these guys, one would think that the U.S. is either still planning the invasion or that the invasion isn’t over and the bad results/consequences haven’t been written about, and discussed, many, many times.
