It’s all understandable now. You see, Josh Duggar wasn’t a Christian at the time he was diddling around with underage girls including his own sisters.

Christian evangelist Ray Comfort offered his support of Josh on May 24 via Twitter, “Standing by my friend Josh Duggar, as a brother in Christ. This was in his BC days. Such were some of us.”

“BC” means “Before Christ,” notes the Friendly Atheist blog.

Comfort offered no proof of his claim of Josh’s lack of Christian conversion at the time of the alleged sexual abuse.

    Circular logic:
The Duggars are card-carrying Christian conservatives, and Josh admitted that he molested young girls — however, Christians don’t molest children, therefore he could not REALLY have been a Christian when he committed these abhorrent acts.

Some rabid right christians are declaring their ‘born again’ as early as 7 or 8.

      • Barry Shitpeas May 26th, 2015 at 4:14 am

Is ‘born again’ a euphemism now?

        • tracey marie May 26th, 2015 at 6:35 am

Uh….I’m not a Christian, never molested a child.

    • Larry Schmitt May 26th, 2015 at 6:43 am

I thought that was one of the sacraments.

    • Bunya May 26th, 2015 at 3:23 pm

Yes, but now you can! You can now molest till your heart’s content, and on your deathbed when you’re too old to diddle the young ‘uns, you can return to your Christian values, insuring your ticket on the train to eternal salvation!
      .
Wow! What a concept! That’s almost as good as confessing your sins to a pedophile every Saturday in order to put you back in the Creator’s good graces!

      • Carla Akins May 26th, 2015 at 4:43 pm

Hence my confusion about the Catholic religion when I was a child. Kiddos are not my thing, but I’m I could probably “lust in my heart”, and take the lords name in vain, now that I have an out.

  4. Larry Schmitt May 26th, 2015 at 6:44 am

He certainly didn’t act christ-like, but I’m pretty sure he was raised to be a so-called christian. You can’t disavow your membership when it’s convenient.

  5. Chris May 26th, 2015 at 7:22 am

So “BC” is what they call their “Get Out Of Jail Free” card nowadays.

    Got it.

  6. Mike May 26th, 2015 at 8:58 am

Do these people ever listen to the ridiculous things they say…???
I admit to a bit of schadenfreude watching these clowns twist the lexicon to fit their narrative, but let’s be honest…Josh is just a common everyday pedophile.

  7. William May 26th, 2015 at 9:38 am

Sooooooo? he took a time out from being a Christian, perved his sisters, then simply renewed his membership and now he’s cool with the almighty once again?
    Is that how it works?
Nice to know these Bible thumping enablers look at Christianity like a magazine subscription.

    • cwazycajun May 26th, 2015 at 2:25 pm

the percentage of christians is THAT LOW>>??? I”d thought it would be higher…lol

  8. fahvel May 26th, 2015 at 9:56 am

putain de merde, these people are out of their minds. the idea of christianity reveling in its own excrement is more nauseating than it just being a goofy religion.

  9. AnthonyLook May 26th, 2015 at 7:25 pm

The extent of lies to justify their existence is amusing. It’s BC alright; before common sense.

  10. cecilia May 26th, 2015 at 9:07 pm

    were his parents christian??

because all this incest-crime-covering is entirely THEIR fault.

all this who-cares-about-the-girls crime is THEIR fault
