Phyllis Schlafly believes women like making less money than men.

Phyllis Schlafly stopped by VCY America’s “Crosstalk” program yesterday to discuss her book “Who Killed The American Family?” (Spoiler:“It’s not just the gays.”)…

“Women like to marry a man who makes more than she does,” she explained, “so then she can take time off and work fewer hours when she has something she’d rather do like have a kid and look after her children. So the pay gap, really, is something that women like.”

I thought this old bag went to meet her maker….her face looks like she’s in rigor….or constipated.

    • rg9rts May 29th, 2015 at 6:23 am

Can any woman with half a brain actually believe what this harridan says? Can she believe it herself?

  5. Chris May 29th, 2015 at 7:28 am

Easy for her to say, advising the little people to be happy with their lot in life. Meanwhile, she makes a good living with people paying her to say this tripe. It also helped that she married into money.

    • Larry Schmitt May 29th, 2015 at 8:25 am

I’m sure she makes far more money than her rants are actually worth.

If she made 5 cents she would be overpaid.

I went to Hollins (a small, private Women’s University in Virginia) in the mid 80’s . That old bat had the audacity to come on our campus to tell us to look for a husband, not worry so much about our education. She, having an advanced degree, telling us what we SHOULD do. I am stunned that old gas bag is still alive. She was pitted against someone of the Molly Ivins/Ann Richards ilk who eviscerated Schlafly’s misogynistic and condescending arguments. I called my mother that night, and asked how to become a member of NOW. I wanted to be everything Schafley was not, and have succeeded. That old Crone is just too mean to die. In fact, the only time I ever want to hear her name mentioned is that she’s dead. Awful troll.

If the beer that bears her name were the best beer in the world, I still wouldn’t drink it. And I love me some good beer.

I understand and appreciate the sacrifice that you would make. Good man.

No one was there to drink her kool aid. But imagine, a “feminist”, as she called herself, was telling young ladies not to finish school and go get a husband. What planet was she on that night? And the fact that she had a Masters degree was not lost on us.

I am glad you were not influenced by this beast, I am hoping none of your fellow students weren’t either.

      • Mimi P Louiso May 29th, 2015 at 9:40 am

Funny you say that because a lot of my classmates left during her blathering. I was sticking around for the fight that was sure to ensue. I wished I could remember who she debated…too many beers and years

        • Suzanne McFly May 29th, 2015 at 4:54 pm

The beers would of been a necessity to hear her, I think I would of used some Jose and I would of given her a piece of my mind.

I thought she had died! Oh nuts ;o)

Obviously the LOrd does not want her in his vicinity.

  8. Budda May 29th, 2015 at 8:40 am

My sisters and daughters would disagree with her.

    • Suzanne McFly May 29th, 2015 at 8:41 am

Any person with ovaries disagree with her, kind of like ann coulter.

      • Larry Schmitt May 29th, 2015 at 9:49 am

        Those of us without, too.

        • Suzanne McFly May 29th, 2015 at 4:54 pm

          Okay, ovaries and/or brain cells.

          • Larry Schmitt May 29th, 2015 at 5:15 pm

Women against women! Such a divisive conundrum! Gullibles following blindly top echlon orders!
Schlafly became an outspoken opponent of the Equal Rights Amendment during the 1970s as the organizer of the “STOP ERA” campaign. STOP is an acronym for “Stop Taking Our Privileges.” Schlafly argued that the ERA would take away gender specific privileges currently enjoyed by women, including “dependent wife” benefits under Social Security and the exemption from Selective Service registration.[27]
In 1972, when Schlafly began her efforts against the Equal Rights Amendment, it had already been ratified by 28 of the necessary 38 states. She organized a campaign to oppose further ratification. Five more states ratified ERA after Schlafly began her opposition campaign; however, five states rescinded their ratifications. The last state to ratify was Indiana, where then State Senator Wayne Townsend cast the tie-breaking vote for ratification in January 1977. Schlafly argued that “the ERA would lead to women being drafted by the military and to public unisex bathrooms.”[28] She was opposed by groups such as, National Organization for Women (NOW) and the ERAmerica coalition.[29] To counter Schlafly’s Stop ERA campaign, theHomemakers’ Equal Rights Association was formed.

I have a unisex bathroom, so? Funny, Japan has an ‘equal rights’ clause in their constitution, and the society is doing fine. WE forced them to put that in there just after the war.

  12. Bunya May 29th, 2015 at 2:07 pm

The pay gap is a good thing because women like to stay home a raise their children? WTF is she talking about?? I think senility is having a drastic toll on her. She should be put out to pasture along with another decrepit old fool, Pat Robertson.

    • Dwendt44 May 29th, 2015 at 11:16 pm

She didn’t ‘stay home and raise the children’. She had nannies doing that, though I wish she had stayed home.

  13. StoneyCurtisll May 29th, 2015 at 3:58 pm

Last time Phyllis Schlafly had a full time job, she was working as a madam up in the Klondike during the gold rush…;)

  14. eyelashviper May 30th, 2015 at 2:12 pm

Yeah, women just HATE equal pay, along with voting rights,. wearing shoes, doing anything outside of their domestic havens, birth control, health care, thinking, being full fledged citizens, speaking their minds, being independent, and other such stuff favored by uppity folks…
Dried up and dessicated Schlafly should be in the Creationist museum, stuffed and silent.
