Lindsey Graham, running for president as a war hawk, believes we should never leave the Middle East.

…Graham has confirmed that he does not believe the U.S. should ever give up its presence in the Middle East.

After Graham said that as president he would arm the Ukrainians, leave troops in Afghanistan, add more troops in Iraq and recruit allies to start a new war in Syria, [Chuck] Todd asked him, “How do you get out?”

“You don’t get out,” Graham replied. Like Japan and Germany after World War II, the senator said he would keep troops in the region indefinitely. “I think you have to be involved in the Mideast militarily, politically, economically,” he said. “If you’re not, you’re making a huge mistake.”

Yeah, why leave? Why not stay and ensure the war machine billions more in taxpayer money for eternity?

Trillions of dollars to play world policeman while lining the pockets of defense contractors, but not one red cent to provide health care to our least fortunate citizens right here at home.

If you think that kind of idiocy is good for the country, you just might be a Republican.

But definitely not smarter than a 6th grader.

This is as close to the truth that we’ll ever get out of the other side. He must own quite a bit of stock.

Perpetual War is an economic tenet of the Republican Party economic agenda. Your American children are mere fodder for their capitalistic puppet master’s wishes. Before long the dust will be cleaned of their long term agenda to fear monger urgency and immediacy to reinstate the draft; trail balloons coming to mind near you soon. Look at those children of yours and picture your family times when they reach draft age; then think of Lindsey Graham and their ilk- and just say NO!

He wants non-stop military industrial complex war, and if that’s the case then
we need a draft for all young men from red states! and don’t forget their
    other ideas:
the GOP is so in love with their big ideas to remake America,
they introduced them twice, once in the house and again in
    the senate:
11 million families, seniors and children will lose food stamps,
35,000 children will not get head start,
$1.2 billion will be cut from education that could fund
    4,500 schools and 17,000 teachers,
133,000 fewer poor families will get housing assistance,
2 million fewer workers will receive job training and
and seniors remember-the house GOP plan turns Medicare
into a “premium support” model that essentialy replaces
the guarantee of quality healthcare for seniors with a
    system of cupons!
    employment services,

Of course Lindsey Graham wants perpetual war. He’s way to old to fight, so he has no problem sending others out to fight (and possibly die) in his stead. And if the draft was once again implemented, I’m sure the folks in his family will be the first to line up to receive deferments.

One of the reasons he gets away with these horrifically blithe statements about war is that most of the population is insulated from the effects. The feeling most have about our mercenary military is kinda like, “well, they signed up for it.” “Support The Troops” is such a hollow slogan for many. I say supporting them requires getting them out of stupid theaters of war, not full employment in areas of conflict.
