It takes to much time and space to present every ridiculous comment from conservatives who are fearful about the upcoming Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage. Roy Moore’s reaction to something that hasn’t happened yet is significant in that he is the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.

…Moore is no stranger to controversy, having previously tried defying the orders of federal courts while urging other state governments to do the same. On Tuesday, Moore gave aninterview for CNS News, where he had some explosive words on the Supreme Court’s decision to hear the same-sex marriage case,Obergefell V. Hodges. “They’re toying with something that’s like dynamite and will destroy our country,” he said.

Moore said a favorable ruling would mean homosexuality’s “force acceptance” amongst Americans by requiring people to provide goods and services for wedding ceremonies. “What the Supreme Court is about to do, if they do it, is not redefine marriage but destroy the institution of marriage,” Moore said. Moore continued to say that he does not think that all LGBT advocates are hell-bent on seeing the country destroyed, but insisted that “there’s a push for it.”

What are all these Chicken Littles going to say when the Court affirms same sex marriage, and the country doesn’t collapse? Will they all apologize for their pointless blatherings? Don’t worry, I won’t be holding my breath.

Exactly how will gay marriage destroy the country?
You can’t just say crap like that and not have some specifics.

I’m about as straight as one gets, and same sex marriage doesn’t bother me in the least because I learned to mind my own business a long, long time ago. What others do in their bedrooms doesn’t concern me, but I’ve noticed it bothers individuals like Roy Moore. Why it does has always confounded me, since they’re not involved in same sex relationships and swear up and down that being gay is “yucky.” Bottom line–they need to mind their own business, especially Roy Moore who has a son who cannot stay out of trouble and appears to have problems with drugs and alcohol.

One would think that if Moore were really into “family values,” he’d be focusing on helping his son get his life straightened out., but noooo, dude loves the spotlight too much to keep his mouth shut. He reminds me of the Duggar clan—he’s out in public presenting himself as an upright individual whom we should emulate while having a skeleton in the closet in the form of a kid who keeps getting arrested for drinking while driving and for drug possession. You cannot make this stuff up.

The obsession many righties have about LGTB folk sometimes makes me wonder about what their true sexual identity is…

This idiot judge forgets that this is NOT a theocracy. It’s secular government under a secular Constitution. The law of the and says specifically that this country was not based on the christian religion.

Are you sure? I think if the Supreme court rules in favor of gay marriage we will all have to get gay married. And if one refuses, Ramsay Bolton will flay them until their heart stops.

Funny how; Franklin Graham Says Supreme Court’s Gay Marriage Ruling Sets Stage for ‘Persecution of Believers’ and Tony Perkins warned conservative pastors in the audience that although they “may have five years” before they are dragged “kicking and screaming” out of their churches if the Supreme Court strikes down same-sex marriage bans, they should start preparing their congregations for “persecution.”

    But in Reality, WHO’S actually doing the persecuting??;

Then; Pastor Erwin Lutzer warned that homeschooling parents “could
find their children taken away by the state if the Supreme Court legalizes gay
    marriage.”

But in Reality, who ACTUALLY loses their children??

Oh, yes. Here in Iowa where gay marriage has been the law for the past SIX years, it’s just a hellscape.

Everybody’s marriage is just destroyed. Whose? Uh…well…what was the question?

(Republican pronouncements always sound great until you think about them. BTW, I was quite proud of our Iowa Supreme Court when they UNANIMOUSLY decided that limiting marriage to heterosexuals was unconstitutional. The dummy Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice could learn quite a few things from his northern counterparts. )

If that’s true, I guess the sheeple better clean and re-stock their Y2K bunkers.

These drama queen apocalyptic Republicans. Remember when they said armaggeadon would ensue with ObamaCare; and we’re still here.
