Starr: Duggars Are Cowards For Blaming The Media

Michael Starr takes the Duggars to task in the New York Post.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the cloying parents of TLC’s now-infamous “19 Kids and Counting,” broke their silence Wednesday to answer for their creepy son, Josh…
“I think as parents, we felt, we’re failures,” Michelle told Fox News Channel’s Megyn Kelly. “Here we’ve tried to raise our kids to do what’s right, to know what’s right, and yet, one of our children made some really bad choices. I think as a parent, we were just, we were devastated.”
WTF? “Really bad choices”? Do they still not get it?
Apparently not — since, backed into a corner, the Duggars blamed — you guessed it — the “media” for its “agenda” and “unprecedented attack” on a family that never met a camera, magazine cover or prime-time TV interview it didn’t exploit to the fullest…
Guess the “media” is also responsible for forcing Josh, starting in 2002, to sexually abuse four of his sisters (and another young girl), heinous acts of which Jim Bob was aware from the get-go — but only reported to Arkansas police in 2006.
“He was still a kid. He was still a juvenile. He wasn’t an adult,” Jim Bob told FNC’s Kelly. “This was not rape or anything like that. This was touching someone over their clothes.”

Being so prolific, there must be Duggars in the Middle East, as well as all four corners of the earth. So, where is the Islamic leader who’ll issue a ‘fatwa’ on all the media infidels, who insult…and.who endlessly berate these Duggars?

Way to make your daughters feel less than human. “this was someone touching someone over clothing.” Um, no. No. This was your teen son violating your daughters and someone else’s daughter for over a year dickwad. Yes. You both failed miserably as parents. And still continue to fail while minimizing your daughters and the other victim, once again and blaming the media when you were the ones’ who put your family out there. Put yourselves out to call other people perverts. It’s called Karma.

The Duggar parents have no shame. If this had happened in/to my family, TV would be the last place anyone would find me. I’d be behind the scenes making sure that my daughters were receiving counseling, not on Fox News making sh*t up to protect a son who had molested his sisters, and I definitely wouldn’t advise my daughters to go on national TV to say that they’d “forgiven” their brother. This entire affair is a circus. The Duggars should just choose a location, sell tickets, and host an event where they could hold a 1st Class pity party.

Well heck they did everything they could. They even got a cop to give little Josh a good talking to. So what if the cop in question happens to be doing 56 years on a kiddie porn rap.
My guess is their real problem is losing the show, and all that wonderful money.

The Duggars fail to realize the parenting mistake was not raising a son that molested his sisters and others, it was how they dealt with the situation once it was discovered. All attention was given to Josh, the victims were nothing more than a second thought years later. Jim Bob waited until the statute of limitations expired to report the crime to another pedophile of all people. Everything about this story smells of nepotism, favoritism, and political maneuvering, done in the name of maintaining a fraud. There is nothing godly about how this situation was handled, to many of us it actually looks a bit evil.
No, the story is not an attack by the Media, it is a story of hypocrisy…of grifters who play the god card to make a buck but are shown to be nothing more than very wicked people.

It just stands to reason. Since Jesus already forgave Josh and his parents, somebody has to be held responsible for their truly disgusting behavior. The next logical choice would be to blame the media.

Apparently Josh can get a job as a magician because he can molest 5 sleeping girls over a year and a half and not one of them remembers it, not even the babysitter, who had to be closer to Josh’s age.
