In a press conference Friday, Sheriff Robert Holland said that frightening scenario possibly was averted by a school bus driver, Alice Bradley,…

Failure of eroticism in their relationship will be a factor. The role that sexual repression and frustration plays in outbursts of extremist politico-religious violence is unfortunately ignored.

There is no need to describe here the central role that sexual politics is playing in the crimes of ISIS.

I owe you an apology, I am very sorry for being so ugly to you yesterday.

      • Gert Brown June 9th, 2015 at 11:00 am

Thanks. I do have a bad habit of sometimes being a little opaque in my expressions.

        • tracey marie June 9th, 2015 at 11:02 am

Thank you but I believe the fault was all mine. I tend to have kneejerk reactions when I am unsure of the person and their comment.

and that’s tracey. love ya girlfriend.

      “Take sex away
from people. Make it forbidden, evil. Limit it to ritualistic breeding.
Force it to back up into suppressed sadism. Then hand the people a
scapegoat to hate. Let them kill a scapegoat occasionally for cathartic
release. The mechanism is ages old. Tyrants used it centuries before the word “psychology” was ever invented. It works, too.”-R.A. Heinlein:Revolt in 2100 1953

I’m not certain of what I read, had this couple been ALLOWED on the school bus? If they were then why?

    • tracey marie June 9th, 2015 at 10:59 am

Sounds like they broke in, some drugs make people extremely strong.

      • Dwendt44 June 9th, 2015 at 12:06 pm

A school bus often sits with its doors closed but not in the locked position.
That handle the driver closes the door with has an ‘overcenter’ position that locks the doors when closed, but it can’t be used if there’s nobody IN the bus to open the door from the inside.

Wow! I sometimes think that the “war on drugs” has gone too far, then I read about something like this and start to feel that, maybe, we should to pursue the manufacturers and pushers even HARDER. Of course, ultimate responsibility rests with the one who commits the act. But, if they’re operating with diminished inhibitions, due to an illegal drug, the person who sold them the drug can be considered an accessory, as he provided them with the illegal substance with which to alter their perceptions.

    • Chico_Brisbane June 9th, 2015 at 5:26 pm

I doubt these people where stoned on weed. This sounds more like people who have been up for 3 days straight tweeking on meth. The “war on drugs” can have no legitimacy as long a weed is included. If you want to get a handle on the drug problem you have to start with the doctors that are prescribing Xanax, Ambien and Oxy Contin like candy to children. The biggest contributor to the drug epidemic isn’t happening on the corner of First & Main – It’s happening inside the Walgreens Pharmacy on the corner of First & Main. Don’t get it twisted

You are 100% correct. Marijuana is not a threat to society as we know it. While I don’t think it’s harmless, I don’t think it’s any more harmful than tobacco or alcohol.
I also agree that it’s wrong to drug our children into submission. There are all kinds of side-effects and long-term issues that arise from altering the brain chemistry of a child.

  4. EnuffBull June 9th, 2015 at 11:18 am

I know I’m not adding positively to the conversation, but…

White people with guns–at least one who aimed at a deputy–and the cops only tased them and let them live.

Now let’s play that same scenario with another ethnicity in North Carolina…

    • Chico_Brisbane June 9th, 2015 at 5:18 pm

If they’d been black, both of them would have been DRT – No questions asked.

  5. Guy Lauten June 9th, 2015 at 11:22 am

“It’s apparent they were on something” the sheriff said.

    Yes, it’s called religious fundamentalism.

    • Glaisne June 9th, 2015 at 12:29 pm

Religious fundamentalism not only makes you stupid it makes you insane as well.

    • eyelashviper June 9th, 2015 at 12:58 pm

and a high degree of ammosexuality…

    • Chico_Brisbane June 9th, 2015 at 5:15 pm

You don’t even need the fundamentalism. Religion sums it up all by itself because either you have an imaginary friend or you don’t.

  6. Larry Schmitt June 9th, 2015 at 11:33 am

It may have been god’s will. He was responsible for a lot of killings in the bible.

  7. fredoandme June 9th, 2015 at 12:27 pm

    this god person sounds evil.

    • whatthe46 June 9th, 2015 at 1:11 pm

oh my GOD! i saw that picture and busted out laughing. i can’t do that i’m at work. wth? lol that face is hilarious. (your avitar)

      • fredoandme June 9th, 2015 at 2:48 pm

        well! i’m glad you’re amused.
google. strangers with candy. i’d post some material, but, above all, i fear the banhammer.

    • Chico_Brisbane June 9th, 2015 at 5:11 pm

He is evil. He sends little kids fathers off to be killed in one of his many wars. And if that doesn’t quite tickle his funny bone, he just gives the little kids cancer.

  8. eyelashviper June 9th, 2015 at 1:02 pm

Delusional religious fanatics with lots of guns…how very Murikin…

  9. Gindy51 June 9th, 2015 at 1:10 pm

    Domestic terrorists.

I wonder what would have happened if this had been a black couple……

    • Roctuna June 9th, 2015 at 2:05 pm

They’d be dead now and we’d never know that god gave them instructions. That god, what a character. He/she tells multiple fools to run for president, directs meteorological and geological disasters as punishment and gives orders to mass-murderer wannabes.

      • jasperjava June 9th, 2015 at 11:00 pm

I also hear that He picks the winner of the Super Bowl.

        • fahvel June 10th, 2015 at 3:12 am

          but never shares.

    • Chico_Brisbane June 9th, 2015 at 5:07 pm

Domestic terrorism – Christian extremism – What’ the difference?

  10. whatthe46 June 9th, 2015 at 1:10 pm

“…they killed the animal because it was “defective.”” they are the ones fk’n defected. crazy ass bastards.

  11. hazelnut101 June 9th, 2015 at 1:25 pm

Kudos to the bus driver for fast action!, however when I see “THEY” tased three times, no one and I mean NO one can tell me that this sick a$$ country of ours isn’t “white privilege” . White terrorist can damn well do anything and that’s ok with the f*cktard cops and (some not all) white trash usa.

  12. Bunya June 9th, 2015 at 2:16 pm

God isn’t powerful enough to kill a bus full of kids by himself? He has to hire a couple of rednecks to do his work for him? Maybe all the tornadoes and wild storms he’s sending through the bible belt is keeping him pretty busy.

  13. Mike June 9th, 2015 at 4:24 pm

Reason number 2,398,242 why you should never listen to the voice of god.

  14. Chico_Brisbane June 9th, 2015 at 5:05 pm

ONE DAY – The concept of religion and of a God will find itself in the dustbin of history. Only then can we ever achieve true peace on earth and good will towards ALL men.

    • Elliot J. Stamler June 12th, 2015 at 12:57 pm

Another example of atheist bigotry, rudeness and extremism, just as loathsome and offensive as religious-right fundamentalist bigotry, rudeness and extremism. Mr. Brisbane may get a bad sur prize in his after-death experience.

      • tracey marie June 12th, 2015 at 1:12 pm

Nonsense, wars and hate are all based on the myths of a higher being, either obey and believe or parish

  15. CHOCOL8MILK June 9th, 2015 at 6:22 pm

Imagine the RWNJ outrage if those two were Muslim- oh and the fear mongering.

  16. ShelleysLeg June 10th, 2015 at 12:08 am

Why weren’t they shot in the back 8 times?
