Forget the need for the Republican Party to reach out to a broader constituency, says Ann Coulter. It should expand itself among white people, she told Bill O’Reilly.

Coulter said Republicans shouldn’t be pandering to Hispanics by supporting immigration reform, because that would be akin to Democrats desperately trying to win over pro-gun or pro-life voters.

She insisted that any polls to the contrary are “lying” and had Mitt Romney gotten lots more Hispanic support in 2012, he would have lost, but if he got just a few percent more of the white vote, he would have won.

O’Reilly challenged her and argued that there’s a “traditional wing” of Hispanics that might warm up to the GOP on social issues, but Coulter insisted outreach still isn’t worth it.

She’s probably correct. BUT what she suggests isn’t likely to happen. The rabid right already has about maxed out its voter base. Conservatives are nearly always willing to show up at the polls on election day. It’s the Progressives and Liberals that stay home all to often.
Republicans don’t have much appeal to minorities and any half a$$ed outreach would appear phony at best.

Pretty pathetic …..so much for being all inclusive huh? Coultergiest???

  11. Foundryman June 9th, 2015 at 5:23 pm

It’s more likely the GOP will lose because of driving a wedge between them and hispanics, blacks, women, immigrants, trade unions, white male fathers worried about their sons going to some forsaken war for nothing, first time health insured people, (millions of them), minimum wage service employees, (muti millions of them),

The real bottom line here is, Coulter is a complete blithering idiot who knows nothing.

There are only three ways I can think of that the Republicans could increase the number of voters for a general election:

    1. Registering more people to vote (Republican)—but I imagine most people who would vote Republican are already registered and vote regularly
    2. Conceiving more children to vote (Republican)—but it will taken eighteen years or more to realize an increase in number of voters
    3. Digging up more (Republican) voters—but I thought they’d been doing this for years.
Isn’t that how GWB got elected?

Right wingers always bringing up the race card.

  15. Bakers Assistant June 10th, 2015 at 12:16 pm

If the GOP couldn’t defeat Obama in 2008 or 2012 by bringing out the racist vote, how will they win in 2016?
