A security concern resulted in the White House briefing room being evacuated Tuesday afternoon.

The Secret Service interrupted White House spokesman Josh Earnest’s televised briefing shortly after 2 p.m., and escorted reporters out of the building.

Cameras were tilted down toward the ground on the White House driveway and away from the West Wing, while cameras inside the briefing room were covered.

At about 2:35 p.m., an all-clear sign was given and reporters were led back to the press room.

No explanation was given for the evacuation, though ABC News reported a bomb threat had been called into the building.

The White House evacuation came within hours of an evacuation at the Dirksen Senate Office Building. An all-clear signal was later given at Dirksen.
