The hyperbolic rhetoric about the upcoming Supreme Court decision on gay marriage sounds like a game of “Can You Top This”.

Family Research Council official Ken Blackwell explained during an anti-marriage-equality panel how anti-gay activists, just like Civil Rights Movement leaders, will resist a Supreme Court decision striking down bans on same-sex marriage, a ruling he warned will give rise to totalitarianism.

Blackwell said that how Americans respond to “a wrong decision in this marriage case” will be just as important as the nation’s response to the Civil War, World War II and the September 11, 2001 attacks. Such a ruling would be “another one of those challenging moments, defining moments as to attest of how we response as a nation, but how we also respond as believers, as Christians,” he said.

The same hyperbolic rhetoric accompanied the abolition of slavery, giving women the right to vote, the abolition of child labor, the abolition of segregation; every liberal advance of society has the Tories screaming the end of society.

    And every time they’re wrong.

63% of Americans are FOR marriage equality, 71% of 18-29 year olds are for marriage equality. Keep beating that hate drum evangelicals, all it is is your own death throes

WTF is their definition of a ‘believer’ / ‘christians’?

’cause I just don’t feel a whole lot of love when equating blood soaked wars/days with people who want EQUAL RIGHTS under the CONSTITUTION of The United States of America.

could we have all the ‘religious’ marriages thrown out and have the doors to the buildings that have practiced such INEQUALITY to AMERICANS shut down?
