Dolezal Resigns From NAACP

Rachel Dolezal has stepped down as head of the Spokane NAACP.
“Please know I will never stop fighting for human rights and will do everything in my power to help and assist, whether it means stepping up or stepping down, because this is not about me,” she wrote in a Facebook statement. “It’s about justice. This is not me quitting; this is a continuum.”

Accodring to an article posted Friday on The Daily Beast website, Rachel Dolezal has lived a lifetime of deceptions and fabrications about her background — and that she is estragned not only from her white parents, but also from the eldest of her three black adopted brothers.

The revelation that Dolezal sued Howard University — one of the nation’s most prestigious historically black colleges and universities — for race discrimination in 2002 because she’s white was what really exposed her deception, even more than her being “outed” by her white parents and her adopted black brother.
It’s pretty clear to me that the Howard revelation totally destroyed her credibility at the NAACP and left her with no choice but to resign as president of the Spokane, Washington chapter.
