A Texas oil executive swore at a gay couple, got out of his car and knocked a man unconscious.

Anthony Fera [pictured], the president of Houston’s MidStar Energy LP, has been charged with assault.

In April, Andy Smith and Paul von Wupperfeld, who are married, were walking in Austin when, the couple says, Fera drove by and almost mowed them over.

“I hollered out, ‘you nearly hit us.’”  Smith writes in his statement to police. Fera reportedly replied, ‘Fuck you faggot.’” Smith and Fera exchanged a few more words before Fera exited his car, punched Smith in the head, ran back, and resumed driving.

Von Wupperfeld writes in his own statement that Smith’s face following the attack “was swollen and bloody from where he had been punched, with cuts on his nose, right cheek, and chin. He was unconscious for around 30-45 seconds. When he came around he was groggy and disoriented.”

Another conservative hero. At least he didn’t murder them.

wait, he will be released and get a parade then he will kill them.

    • CHOCOL8MILK June 18th, 2015 at 11:03 pm

He will pay a fine, maybe a harsh talking to. Then back to work!

He was probably trying that when he almost hit them with his car.
If he had hit them then it would suddenly have turned into a rainy thundering night with ice and sleet and snow and mud flying everywhere. His parents would have sent him to the Mediterranean for six weeks to get over his “trauma”

    Just assault huh?
I thought this would be considered a hate crime per his words/speech.

    • RustyCannon June 19th, 2015 at 10:48 am

If he’s found guilty, the hate crime part would be taken into account for sentencing. It isn’t a crime unto itself, but a mitigating circumstance.

Can one be an oil executive without being a moral reprobate?

    • ohpaleasegivemeabreak June 19th, 2015 at 7:12 am

      The answer is NO.

Another example of the LGBT community’s War on Christianity.

Had Smith not allowed his fa**ot body get in the way of a patriotic Texan’s expensive automobile, then Mr. Fera — a bastion of American capitalism and undoubtedly a God-fearing social conservative — would not be in trouble with the law today.

    In doubt of his sexuality??

  6. AmusedAmused June 19th, 2015 at 6:01 am

Fera was only exercising his Christian faith. Has he set up a GoFundMe account yet?

I hope the victim enlists the services of the most aggressive civil lawsuit attorney he can find.

Looked up Midstar of Houston: it appears to have to do with providing engineering infrastructure for fracking projects. Amusingly, its mission statement talks about its staff at all levels conducting themselves with the greatest possible degree of high integrity and ethical standards….
