Shooter Said ‘You Rape Our Women’

Sylvia Johnson, a cousin of the pastor killed in the Charleston shooting says she was told the shooter reloaded five times and said, “I have to do it. You rape our women and you’re taking over our country. And you have to go.”
Johnson said the shooter sat next to Pastor Clementa Pinckney during a bible study and that the shooting began when the class ended. Nine people, including Rev. Pinckney, were killed in the shooting. The gunman remains at large.
