[su_publirb]roofholdingdixieswastikaIt’s a big get for the indie news site:

A website that appears to have been created by Dylann Roof was found Saturday morning. The “Last Rhodesian” was registered in February 2015. (On his Facebook account, Roof wore a Rhodesian flag in a photo taken before his alleged attack Wednesday on a Charleston black church.) Photos of Roof hosted on the website were taken this spring, according to metadata. The writer of the text says he was “not raised in a racist environment,” and that the shooting of Trayvon Martin led him to investigate what he called “black on white crime” through the webpage of local hate group Council of Conservative Citizens. “I have no choice. I am not in the position to, alone, go into the ghetto and fight. I chose Charleston because it is most historic city in my state, and at one time had the highest ratio of blacks to Whites in the country,” the author writes. “We have no skinheads, no real KKK, no one doing anything but talking on the internet. Well someone has to have the bravery to take it to the real world, and I guess that has to be me.”

The New York Times adds:

In one picture, Mr. Roof is shown posing with wax figures of slaves. In others, he posed with a handgun. He is alone in all the photos, which appear to have been taken at a slave plantation, Sullivan Island, S.C., and at the Museum and Library of Confederate History.

The website links to several pages of long racist rants. Some describe Hispanics as enemies and say that “Negroes” have lower I.Q.s and low-impulse control. The writings are not signed.

It appears that the “manifesto” web site is not directly accessible, but a mirror of the site exists on archive.org.[su_facebook][su_center_b]

Okay wingers, are you sure it was crimes against Christianity? I can’t wait to see the walk back some of these idiots are going to do, how many GOPper pretzels will be created this weekend?

    • arc99 June 20th, 2015 at 12:30 pm

I think you are being overly optimistic in assuming they will walk back anything.

Remember, facts typically have little or no bearing on what these people say.

      • mea_mark June 20th, 2015 at 12:45 pm

More than likely they will say it is fake or something. Obama made it up, because he wants to take our guns or some other BS.

        • dave-dr-gonzo June 20th, 2015 at 12:46 pm

You forgot the “Kenyan Muslim Socialist” part…

          • mea_mark June 20th, 2015 at 12:47 pm

It must be the #TexasDerp in me …

        • StoneyCurtisll June 20th, 2015 at 12:57 pm

          Obama wants our guns~!….(gag)

        • Dwendt44 June 20th, 2015 at 12:57 pm

Several webs sites and a couple of you tube videos have already said that the shooting was a hoax, as was the cop shooting that guy in the back 7 times.

          • StoneyCurtisll June 20th, 2015 at 12:59 pm

There is no shortage if idiot web sites on line…
            Even deniers of the holocaust.

          • nola878 June 21st, 2015 at 3:18 am

Thought I’d buried that with my first FIL…but that myth still lives…

      • StoneyCurtisll June 20th, 2015 at 12:56 pm

        Exactly~!..
They will continue to push this imaginary “attack on christians” until they turn blue in the face.
And push more more guns, even in Churches..(as seen on Fox this morning with M Huckabee).

        • whatthe46 June 20th, 2015 at 1:18 pm

careful watching that sh*t. you’ll get a brain bleed.

  2. Foundryman June 20th, 2015 at 12:31 pm

Yeah, this was an accident alright, and race had nothing to do with it. The confederate flag waving republicans and their foxnews propaganda machine need to be held accountable for what they say and the hatred they promote.

    • tracey marie June 20th, 2015 at 2:18 pm

Never happen, when Gabby was shot they rallied together and said more guns are needed. they backed palin as not promoting hate, but talking about liberty.

  3. crc3 June 20th, 2015 at 12:44 pm

Why do they keep calling him the “alleged” shooter when he admitted to the massacre and all evidence points to him as the perpetrator? Don’t give me that “innocent until proven guilty” b.s. either….

    • Dwendt44 June 20th, 2015 at 12:58 pm

That’s exactly why he’s called ‘alleged’. Any government or media claim that he actually WAS the shoot could jeopardize his trial and conviction.

      • StoneyCurtisll June 20th, 2015 at 1:04 pm

Like Govenor Niki Haley saying she wants him to get the death penalty…
        Before he goes on trial…

That stupid woman just tainted the entire jury pool in South Carolina…

And that crazy judge at the arraignment hearing who said something about Roof’s family being “victims who should be considered”..(WTF)??

        • dave-dr-gonzo June 20th, 2015 at 1:14 pm

Remember: we are not talking about a civilized state (at least among a faction of its white residents).

        • whatthe46 June 20th, 2015 at 1:17 pm

yeah, i read the story behind that and i went fk’n off. in 2003 he told a black defendant there are black people, white people, red people and then there are ni**ers like you. wtf.

          • BigDumbWhiteGuy June 20th, 2015 at 7:08 pm

Somehow it was okay, because a black sheriff’s deputy related the saying to the judge first, so there’s no way it was racist. /s

          • whatthe46 June 20th, 2015 at 7:26 pm

i don’t know about that, but, it wouldn’t be a surprise.

        • Obewon June 20th, 2015 at 8:43 pm

GOP bagger poisons Jurors. No problem she should change her name Hikki Naley!

      • crc3 June 20th, 2015 at 1:47 pm

Jeopardize his case? LOL. He already admitted that he did it so there should only be a sentencing hearing to save the victim’s families from even more pain and suffering. Since I don’t believe in capital punishment lock the loser up in solitary confinement for the rest of his miserable life…

        • whatthe46 June 20th, 2015 at 1:52 pm

i’m down with that. and with a big ass black bubba to boot. i’ll chip in for the red lipstick.

          • BigDumbWhiteGuy June 20th, 2015 at 7:02 pm

So rape is okay then, as long as it’s done to racists?

          • Suzanne McFly June 20th, 2015 at 7:22 pm

No, this guy far exceeds the term racist.

          • BigDumbWhiteGuy June 20th, 2015 at 7:44 pm

Still not okay to call for him to be raped. I’m sure he’ll totally change his tune about black men raping white women and taking over the country right after he’s forced to wear lipstick and sodomized by one of them.

          • Suzanne McFly June 20th, 2015 at 7:50 pm

He is the last person I have any concern for, as long as he is locked up, I couldnt give 2 poops what happens to him.

          • BigDumbWhiteGuy June 20th, 2015 at 8:33 pm

Not caring what happens to him is one thing. Facilitating rape is quite another. Obviously I’m not saying that you’re doing that, it’s the point I’m trying to make to whatthe46. I guess I just don’t understand the mentality that thinks the way to obtain justice for victims is to create more victims.

          • whatthe46 June 20th, 2015 at 8:47 pm

he will never be a victim. i’m sorry, but that’s how i feel. there are however victims in prison who are harmed and have not committed a crime. but that is not the situation we have here and that’s why i feel the way i do.

          • whatthe46 June 20th, 2015 at 8:46 pm

i know it sarcasim, so don’t be mad that i laughed ok.

          • whatthe46 June 20th, 2015 at 7:24 pm

i just don’t care, if you will. i don’t want him to be murdered in prison. there’s no suffering in death. this pos needs to be treated like crap. and if he’s raped, i’m not going to feel bad. and i wouldn’t care if he wasn’t a racist. the crime in and of itself is one that warrants whatever he gets, regardless of his beliefs. mcveigh murdered dozens and it wasn’t about race. i wouldn’t have mind if he’d receive life. and if big bubba got ahold of his sorry a$$ then so what. that goes for anyone that does this crap. i don’t hate the pos because he’s white. i don’t hate him because that would have me thinking about him, i hate what he did and for that i have no sympathy for him at all.

          • BigDumbWhiteGuy June 20th, 2015 at 7:40 pm

Of course you hate him, you want to see him raped so much that you’re willing to chip in the red lipstick. What he did won’t be in a cell with “a big ass black bubba.”
I’m not saying I would lose any sleep if he was raped while in prison. But rape is still a crime, no matter who the victim is. Attempting to obtain justice for the 9 victims that he created by making him a victim of sexual assault is not the way to go about things.

          • whatthe46 June 20th, 2015 at 7:51 pm

no you see i don’t hate him. to hate would mean to obsess over him. i won’t. i won’t care if he is raped. and yes i will gladly chip in for the red lipstick because whatever he gets he will be well deservant of it. i will not take that back.

          • BigDumbWhiteGuy June 20th, 2015 at 8:28 pm

I’m not asking you to take it back, just to think about it. It would be one thing if he had been actually raped in prison and you didn’t have any sympathy for him at that point. But that’s not the case. You yourself brought up the idea of him being raped.

          • whatthe46 June 20th, 2015 at 8:44 pm

i am a simple human who is no where near perfect. that being said, i don’t give 10 flying monkey fk’s if he is treated with the harshest justice prison (which isn’t death in my opinion) can offer. and for a man who has the audacity to do what he did, if it means being raped by the very population of people he despise, and that would include not just black people mind you, given how he feels about a host of others, by all means let him have it. mcveigh was smart in that he said, kill me rather than prolong my wasted existence in prison for decades. he too deserved to be dealth with by prison justice. wrong of me? you may say. you may even be right. but, it’s his bed, let him rot in/on/under it. outside of that. i have respect for you and your opinions.

          • crc3 June 21st, 2015 at 8:51 am

His brains may be bashed in before he is raped. Remember what happened to Jeffrey Dahmer?

            http://www.nytimes.com/1994/11/29/us/jeffrey-dahmer-multiple-killer-is-bludgeoned-to-death-in-prison.html

            In this case…YES…

          • granpa.usthai June 21st, 2015 at 3:35 am

the LYING sack of gz in Florida says there are no blacks in prison (he should know) – ‘sigh! they just always get away don’t they’. Then hunted down an innocent black child, provoked a fight, started screaming like a little girl and murdered the innocent black child.

    • bpollen June 21st, 2015 at 12:05 am

Cuz “H” is the 8th letter of the alphabet. Like some bikers had tattoos of “13” because “M” is the 13th letter of the alphabet. It stands for “marijuana” (or “mariposa”… never could keep that straight.)

      • John_St_John June 21st, 2015 at 5:45 pm

actually more base than that. M also stands for murder. Tear drops at the corner of the eye signify the same thing.

        • robert June 21st, 2015 at 6:35 pm

the tear drop tattoo started in prison to mark those who murdered

          • John_St_John June 22nd, 2015 at 1:45 am

Started with Sonny Barger’s Hell’s Angeles in prison to be accurate.

        • bpollen June 21st, 2015 at 11:36 pm

Most of the bikers I knew weren’t really what you would call hard-core… more, maybe, soft-serve bikers.

Credit due to Mitt Romney in calling for the confederate flag to be taken down due to the actions of this shooter. Not a Romney fan, but he deserves credit on bucking his party and actually being compassionate:

    • BigDumbWhiteGuy June 20th, 2015 at 7:16 pm

No way I’m giving Mitt Romney any credit for making a tweet that states the obvious. Let me know when he calls, better yet visits in person, Nikki Haley and every single legislator in the SC General Assembly. Have him publish in the NY Times the rationale of any of them for not taking it down.

  7. Gadea June 20th, 2015 at 9:09 pm

Dylan is a deeply troubled young man. I feel sorry for his family and for him.
Dylan committed a terrible crime. He will face justice, no one should be able to shoot down human beings and get away with such a horrible deed. Dylan is still a human being, regardless of how deeply flawed. I feel very bad for the families of the people that were shot dead, but I also feel sorry for Dylan and what he has brought down on himself. I feel sorry for Dylan’s family as well. I wish Dylan could have received the help he needed, in order to make him think again and realize that what he was about to do, gunning down innocent people was wrong.

    • StoneyCurtisll June 21st, 2015 at 2:31 am

      Fuck Dylan~!
and anyone who is “feeling sorry for him”.

    • crc3 June 21st, 2015 at 8:39 am

DR is a cold, calculated bigot with no conscience and twisted views. He sat in the church for almost an hour with the people he killed then opened fire shooting each person many times. Forgiving him is God’s job or anyone who wants to do it but I’m not one of them because HE SHOWS ZERO REMORSE. May he rot…

    • jasperjava June 21st, 2015 at 12:27 pm

It makes me sick that you call him “Dylann” like he’s a friend of yours.

It makes me sick that you excuse his racist violence by attributing it to mental illness, rather than extreme conservative ideology.

You make me sick, period. You and all other white supremacists.

      • tracey marie June 21st, 2015 at 1:11 pm

Good for you jasperjava, that racist pos needs to be confronted everytime it posts it’s filth.

        • jasperjava June 21st, 2015 at 1:30 pm

Next we’re going to be treated to a post where she declares that Hitler was a “troubled young man” who murdered all those people because he didn’t receive the help that he needed. Just another “deeply flawed” human being that she feels sorry for.

Whatever happened to Gadea’s Rosa Luxemburg avatar? Did she finally do some research on what Rosa Luxemburg actually stood for?

          • tracey marie June 21st, 2015 at 1:32 pm

Substitute “Tim McVeigh” for “Dylan [sic; should have two “n”s]” in the above and see if you agree.

Betcha we find a copy of “The Turner Diaries’ in Dylann’s personal library.

    • John_St_John June 21st, 2015 at 3:15 pm

Ahh, the Frightwing apologist who tries to dehumanize the victims while calling for “understanding and leniency” for the brutal, racist assassin. Oh!!! Justice will be served!!! Please; do not insult my, or any other rational, cognizant thinking individuals intelligence with your mindless, boot licking tripe.

You want to feel sorry for a wasted sack of human flesh? You are beyond reprehensible Gadea. You are a vile and putrid individual in my personal opinion. The type of individual I grew up amongst who would willingly turn a blind eye to crimes committed against a Black man or woman if it meant fitting in with the community at large. You are vomitus underneath the heel of humanity.

Troubled my A$$! He was a nasty little racist punk. Too bad the police did not treat him as some officers would treat a person of color who had gunned down nine white people who were attending a prayer meeting! If that had happened that little punk would be pushing up some daisies at this moment.

  8. William June 21st, 2015 at 9:07 am

    Damn shame.
He could have made a comfortable living writing for right wing wacko radio.

  9. eyelashviper June 21st, 2015 at 11:37 am

It is very apparent that Dylann found his “place” when he discovered the Christian Conservative website, which fed all of his fears, anger, and formed them into a target.
This has been said for a long time, and more such fodder shows up on the internet daily, with Fox news holding up their end on the teevee.
It is referred to as stochastic terrorism, and should be treated as such. Freedom of speech ends when incitement and threats begin, and most of these sites are far over the line.

  10. StoneyCurtisll June 21st, 2015 at 12:11 pm

Anyone else notice how the white male mass murderer is often protrayed as “mental illness”, “needed our help”, “if only we could have reached out to him” or simple insanity”…

Yet the victims of white shooters like Michale Brown or Trevon Martin are portrayed as simple “criminals” and “thugs”..

Or as Lars Larson, Fox “news” contributor and professional right wing radio blowhard suggest, is “their own fault for not being armed” at their Wednesday night bible study prayer group..

    • William June 21st, 2015 at 5:29 pm

      Yep.

  11. Foundryman June 21st, 2015 at 12:38 pm

The guy isn’t deranged, he isn’t insane and he’s not a ‘troubled young man”….He is a product! A product of 20 years of far right wing internet sites, a product of 20 years of 24 hour right wing propaganda on cable news, a product of 20 years of loud mouthed right wing radio idiots filling the heads of poor white, very armed trailer trash.
If anyone thinks there aren’t millions of dylann roofs out there, they are nuts.

    • Judgeforyourself37 June 22nd, 2015 at 12:36 pm

You are correct, and it is a scary thought. However, no one is born hating other races. As the song in South Pacific says, “You have to be carefully taught.” Carefully taught to hate all the people that your relatives hate, or, in the case, perhaps of Roof, hate all the people his friends and hate radio hate.
Did you ever see youngsters of every ethnicity play together? If so, you know, little ones do not care with whom they play, as long as the person or persons with whom they play are friendly and play nicely.

  12. GreatLakeSailor June 21st, 2015 at 11:12 pm

    Headline seems a bit misleading.

    Per AlterNet: http://www.alternet.org/dylann-roofs-manifesto-discovered-online-activists-lays-out-race-war-motivation

Around 9am eastern Saturday morning,Twitter users Emma Quangel and Henry Krinkle simultaneously tweeted out for the first time what appears to be Dylann Roof’s online manifesto (warning: graphic content).

Other sources cite Quangel and Krinkle too.
