10 Shot, 1 Dead At Detroit Block Party

It happened Saturday night at child’s birthday party.
Detroit Police Assistant Chief Steve Dolunt said shots were fired around 8:30 p.m. at the basketball courts at Dexter and Webb, where a large crowd of about 400 people were gathered for a birthday party.
A 20-year-old man was killed and a 46-year-old man is in critical condition. Eight other people, including three women and five men, were also shot and some were taken to the hospital. Dolunt said it was a “miracle” no children were shot… Police say shots were fired from at least two semi-automatic weapons and that the deceased victim could have been an intended target.
Police took one man into custody on a misdemeanor warrant but it’s unclear whether he was involved in the shooting.

Could have been a very sloppy murder-for-hire, although more likely something local, warring gang families maybe? someone’s own witness-elimination program? or more likely “strictly business” related…
I recently read, that in some cities the going rate for a biz related hit is about $150,000, that’s your basic, no frills job. From what I understand that usually involves abduction of the “target,” when they are alone, then they are often taken to a prearranged location to carry out the “contract.”
That price seems very reasonable, the “Dark Web brokers” might argue to potential “clients” who are conducting millions of dollars a day in street and wholesale action. Someone with a problem he/she wants to go away. It’s just a cost of doing business in America’s “New Generation” economy.

Why is there no national coverage of this? Assume it is black on black and not a racially motivated thing, so the killings are perfectly natural.
