Earl Holt, of the Council for Conservative Citizens, gave thousands of dollars to Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Rick Santorum.
According to The Guardian, the tally runs as follows:
$8,500 to the Cruz-supporting Jobs, Growth and Freedom Fund political action committee
$1,750 to RandPAC
$2,000 to Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign
$1,500 to SantorumMany of the candidates have since responded to the news, promising full refunds or alternative uses for the donated money.
In response to the ties identified between Roof and the CofCC, Holtpublished an online statement on Sunday. He notes that, while it “is not surprising” that Roof found some materials on the organization’s website, his group “does not advocate illegal activities of any kind, and never has.”

It’s always the fault of the followers and never the fault of the followed.

I don’t think Bill O’Reilly ever said that someone should go out and kill George Tiller either. But guess what?

I just read some of the comments on that website. That won’t happen again.

That headline is a no-brainer. Who do you think White Supremacists would donate to?
AAASuperPatriot June 22nd, 2015 at 8:52 pm
These Republicans claim they don’t know Earl Holt is.
Well, Earl Holt knows who the racist Republicans are.

About Rand Paul

—
“He has partnered with one of the only two African-Americans currently serving in the U.S. Senate, New Jersey’s Cory Booker, to sponsor legislation to both significantly reform sentencing laws and to federalize the legalization of medical marijuana. Paul was also one of the few Republicans to visit Ferguson, Missouri, in the wake of racial unrest there last year. He has questioned the need for polarizing voter ID laws and he has gone out on a limb to call for voting rights for felons, a “third rail” political position few Democrats will even touch”

I have never voted for a republican in my life. But if more republicans acted like Rand Paul, I would strongly consider it.
