Gohmert: SCOTUS Should Be Embarrassed

Louie Gohmert should be embarrassed.
Gohmert of Texas appeared on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show” shortly after the Court’s decision was made public. He was one of the harsher critics of the Justices, saying that the Court should be “embarrassed” by their actions.
“The Supreme Court has a lot to be embarrassed about. As a former judge and chief justice, I am extremely embarrassed for them. And unfortunately, when you’ve sold your soul, it’s kind of tough to even realize you should be embarrassed, but they should,” Gohmert said.
Rep. Gohmert criticized the Justices for misinterpreting what the Affordable Care Act originally stated in its writing. The phrase “established by the State” was the main source of questioning – supporters of the ACA believed this to mean that federal health care exchanges could be paid for by the federal government, while those who opposed thought the wording referred to the state’s themselves. The Court sided with the Obama administration, keeping ObamaCare intact.
