The 35-year-old South Carolina man shot his 26-year-old girlfriend while under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.
Russell Osborne reportedly admitted to shooting the woman on Saturday night inside their Indian Land apartment while the couple’s 9-month-old son slept in another room.
According to the Rock Hill Herald, Osborne reported the shooting to authorities himself, telling deputies he picked up a .22-caliber rifle after drinking and smoking the drug without realizing it was loaded. He then pulled the trigger, hitting the woman.
