Donald Trump has decided to go after President Clinton, risking his own narrative about women. Likely not a good move.

Speaking by telephone with TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie, Donald Trump denied calling Bill Clinton a racist, saying that he merely passed on what the Obama campaign said about him in 2008: “I don’t believe he is a racist.” He does say that Clinton was responsible for “a lot of abuse of women,” citing the Monica Lewinsky scandal. He says Bill Clinton is “certainly fair game” if his wife, presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, “plays the woman card.”
