Confirmed: Michael Flynn’s son is subject of Mueller probe
NBC has confirmed it. Reporter Julia Ainsley told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on air that the story is rigorously sourced:
Michael G. Flynn, the son of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, is a subject of the federal investigation into Russian meddling in the presidential election and possible collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign, according to four current and former government officials.
The inquiry into Flynn is focused at least in part on his work with his father’s lobbying firm, Flynn Intel Group, three current and former officials said. It’s unclear when the focus on Flynn began.
Barry Coburn, who said he is serving as the younger Flynn’s legal counsel, said he couldn’t comment on the matter.
Michael G. Flynn’s status as a subject of the Russia investigation widens the publicly known scope of the probe. NBC News has reported that those under investigation have included the elder Michael Flynn and former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort. Others under scrutiny by Special Counsel Robert Mueller include Trump campaign ally Carter Page, Trump son-in-law and senior White House adviser Jared Kushner and President Trump’s son, Donald Jr.
A little under a year ago, the likely treasonweasel was in full troll douchebro mode promoting the “Pizzagate” hoax:
[T]he fact-free “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory [gained] purchase in the more extreme corners of the internet, and [the owner of the wacky theory’s nexus, Comet Ping-Pong pizza parlor proproetors James] Alefantis and his employees have increasingly been the subject of harassment online and off in recent weeks, culminating in Sunday’s shooting. Thankfully, no one was physically injured during that incident, but the fact it happened at all would hopefully be enough to convince people to stop spreading the spurious story. Of course that’s not the world we live in these days.
Exhibit A: Michael G. Flynn, the son of retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn, whom President-elect Donald Trump has tapped to be his national security adviser. Flynn Jr. sent this out after the attack:

Flynn subsequently retweeted a message from a Trump supporter suggesting that he was simply urging the news media to fully debunk the story, though he quickly abandoned any such pretense when he spent part of Sunday retweeting other Pizzagate peddlers. He also shared direct messages purportedly from CNN’s Jake Tapper, who appears to have admirably taken Flynn to task.* Tapper, according to the shared screenshots, privately told Flynn “spreading this nonsense is dangerous”; Flynn responded publicly by claiming Tapper was “trolling” his family.
Total karma blowback for an alleged traitor – and world-calss a-hole.
