No. This is no exaggeration.

And no. We are not letting this one off the hook.

This is promotion of a social media meme that glorifies ISIS tactics against Americans that offend her tender, reactionary sensitivities. This is no mere “oops sorry my bad” peccadillo.

Especially when you are one of the most powerful Republicans in your home state:

A Republican state lawmaker faced calls to apologize Tuesday after she shared an image on Facebook depicting protesters being hit by a vehicle under the caption, “All Lives Splatter.”

Rep. Lynne DiSanto shared the image September 7, less than one month after a driver plowed through counter protesters at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va., killing a 32-year-old woman and injuring 19 others.

The Box Elder Republican deleted the post Tuesday after it was circulated by members of progressive groups South Dakota Forward and Indivisible Rapid City, who called on the lawmaker to apologize.

… which she did – but only because she was forced to do so. We doubt that she is being ingenuous. This sounds more like a pro-forma CYA fauxpology.

[DiSanto] apologized Tuesday after sharing a meme on Facebook that appeared to encourage people to hit protestors with vehicles.

Under the headline “All Lives Splatter,” the cartoon showed a car apparently hitting people in the street and said “nobody cares about your protest” and “keep your ass out of the road.”

Her caption above the image said “I think this is a movement we can all support,” according to local newspaper, the Argus Leader. …

“I am sorry if people took offense to it and perceived my message in any way insinuating support or condoning people being hit by cars,” DiSanto said, according to the Rapid City Journal. “I perceived it differently.”

In other words, she perseives that liberals, progressives, and activists who oppose the GOP are not “people.”

Thanks for clarifying, Lynne. Now do the right thing and resign.

Come to think of it, aren’t there laws against promoting mass murder? Federal laws? How many more Heather Heyers would make you happy, Lynne?

Lock her up.
