Breaking Friday night: it looks like Mueller just had a really, really interesting chat with a former staffer to game show host and dotard-in-chief Donald J. Trump!

President Donald Trump’s former chief of staff Reince Priebus was interviewed today by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, his lawyer Bill Burck said.

“It was a voluntary interview. He was happy to answer all their questions,” Burck said by phone. He declined to elaborate.

So would I, Bill.

Priebus was Trump’s chief of staff during the turbulent few weeks that Michael “Comrade” Flynn was National Security Advisor, the subsequent firing of then-FBI Director James Comey, and the drafting of a misleading statement written on Air Force One just after this June’s G-20 summit concerning Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Kremlin-linked lawyer (and alleged Russian agent) during the 2016 presidential campaign.

And Howard Fineman is pretty sure Priebus had a tale to tell.

We’re sure Reince and Mueller’s team had a whole lot of interesting stuff to talk about — especially given that it’s obvious Mueller is looking at obstruction of justice, and it’s pretty much a given that if you want to take down the big kahuna, you’ve gotta turn the subordinate rats.

Say cheese, Reince! ‘Nuff said.
