If you have come to the conclusion that those “leaks” that so upset Trump have turned into an irrepaprble, yuuuge crack in the dam, you’re not alone. The nation’s major papers and broadcast news outlets — with, evidently, the sole exception of FOX News — are in an accelerated nonstop news cycle as the Trump Regime faces ignominious removal.

Yesterday brought us a Trump transition e-mail that said Russia “has just thrown the U.S.A. election to him” and news that Trump’s White House Counsel, Don McGahn, is having his time in the Mueller Time beer barrel.

Get ready for another “treason is the reason” biggie from The New York Times.

A conservative operative trumpeting his close ties to the National Rifle Association and Russia told a Trump campaign adviser last year that he could arrange a back-channel meeting between Donald J. Trump and Vladimir V. Putin, the Russian president, according to an email sent to the Trump campaign.

A May 2016 email to the campaign adviser, Rick Dearborn, bore the subject line “Kremlin Connection.” In it, the N.R.A. member said he wanted the advice of Mr. Dearborn and Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama, then a foreign policy adviser to Mr. Trump and Mr. Dearborn’s longtime boss, about how to proceed in connecting the two leaders.

Russia, he wrote, was “quietly but actively seeking a dialogue with the U.S.” and would attempt to use the N.R.A.’s annual convention in Louisville, Ky., to make “‘first contact.’” The email, which was among a trove of campaign-related documents turned over to investigators on Capitol Hill, was described in detail to The New York Times.

Which leads to the question — who leaked the story to the Times? Our money is on the guy sitting next to Dearborn, Reince Priebus, who knows where most of the Russiagate landmines are buried.

Keep two things in mind: firstm the Russiagate scandal is just getting started. Second, a prominent NRA member is helping to sell out America to Putin and set up an illegal back channel.

Where was the good guy with a gun to stop him?
