It is as if violence-prone neo-Nazi thugs are always looking for excuses to incite violence. Wait – strike that “it is as if”:

A high school in Florida has been receiving harassing emails and phone calls from “alt-right” trolls after a news story falsely claimed the school district had expelled a student for attempting to have an undocumented immigrant classmate deported.

The story came into national focus after Babe, a viral news website that according to an ad campaign is marketed to “girls that don’t give a f—k,” published two posts about the male student, who attends Gainesville High School. The first included images that the boy posted on social media, showing him bragging about turning a fellow student over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The second claimed the student had been expelled in response to his social media posts. Alachua County Public Schools told Newsweek that wasn’t true, but did not explain why the boy was no longer in school, citing privacy laws.

Let’s just say the kid in question is no Stephen Hawking:

Whether or not you believe in karma, we can all agree on one thing for sure: anything you say or do on social media will come back to bite you. Sorry, it’s the law of the Internet, and we’re all slaves to it.

Someone probably should have told Cory Carnley, a pretty hardcore Trump supporter who went on Reddit to brag about reporting one of his classmates to the ICE and getting them deported.

This is high school student Cory Carnley.

Cory brags about calling ICE on people, dreams of torturing immigrants, and makes racist posts about blacks and Jews.

Cory is too young to have voted for Trump and lives in a cushy college town.

… I guess it’s no real surprise that Cory ended up being extremely racist, if his Reddit posts have anything to say about it. Though he’s since deleted his account, Babe reported that his past posts included plenty of racist and sexist comments. Sorry, Cory, the whole world knows now.

And now the whole world knows that this kid’s defenders are violence-prone stooges who will take any opportunity — particulary a false report on the Internet — to threaten people.
