Good on the Walt Disney Corporation!

ABC, in a stunning move, has decided to cancel its Roseanne revival following star Roseanne Barr’s racist tweet Tuesday.

Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said Tuesday.

Roseanne Barr posted an intolerant, racist tweet this morning…

… and almost immediately apologized…

Roseanne Barr has apologized for targeting one of President Barack Obama’s senior advisers as the offspring of the “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes,” as she responded to a social media conspiracy theory about President Donald Trump’s predecessor.

“I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste,” Barr wrote on Twitter, later adding, “I am now leaving Twitter.”

Too late, racist.

“There was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing,” Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a tweet following the announcement. Disney is the parent company of ABC.

Slick move, Roseanne. You destroyed your own comeback — and ABC’s first number one prime time series in years — by acting like a typical knucklehead deplorable, blurting out the very sort of white-supremacist hate speech that bigot-in-chief Donald Trump has not merely enabled but cultivated.

So. Much! WINNING!!!
