While former TV celebrity Donald Trump is not the direct target of the latest development in The Storm(y), this is massively bad news for him:

The pornographic film actress Stephanie Clifford [who performs under the stage name Stormy Daniels] sued President Trump’s fixer, Michael D. Cohen, and her own former lawyer on Wednesday, making public a set of text messages discussing efforts to quash the story of her alleged affair with Mr. Trump as it emerged early this year.

The suit, filed in California State Court, accused Keith M. Davidson, the Beverly Hills lawyer who represented Ms. Clifford in 2016, of violating attorney-client privilege. It also said he withheld relevant communications from her and her current lawyer, Michael Avenatti.

The suit accused Mr. Cohen, Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer, of helping and encouraging Mr. Davidson to breach his professional duties of confidentiality and loyalty to his client this year. In 2016, Mr. Cohen paid her $130,000 shortly before the election to keep quiet about the alleged affair.

When the “Newspaper of Record” calls your personal lawyer a “fixer”, you may have yuuuuge legal problems!

NBC News, which was first with the story, has your collusion right here:

Stormy Daniels says in a new lawsuit that her former attorney betrayed her and became a “puppet” for President Donald Trump and his personal lawyer while still representing her.

The filing Wednesday alleges that Trump attorney Michael Cohen “hatched a plan” and “colluded” with the adult film actress’ lawyer, Keith Davidson, in an attempt to get her to go on Fox News in January and falsely deny she had an affair with Trump more than a decade ago.

Cohen even referred to Davidson as “pal” in one text message attached to the complaint.

“Mr. Davidson abdicated his role as an advocate and fiduciary of his client Ms. Clifford and instead elected to be a puppet for Mr. Cohen and Mr. Trump in order to advance their interests at the expense of Ms. Clifford,” the suit says.

Later that evening [of a planned and scrapped interview on FOX News Channel’s “Hannity”], another text from Cohen to Davidson said: “The wise men all believe the story is dying and don’t think it’s smart for her to do any interviews.”

You can find some of those text messages here.

It’s not a stretch to think the “wise men” include Trump. Which means that he was in effect caught up in a conspiracy between his lawyer and Stormy’s involving hush money during a presidential campaign.

Oh, and check out this detail!

As Fred Rogers would have said, “Can you say ‘felonies’? Sure you can!”
