Tea Party candidate in Georgia’s 12th congressional district wants people to shoot him! Proving once again why TP support plummeted by nearly 50% from 32% in 2010, to 24% today. “Do you consider yourself a supporter of the Tea Party Movement?”
    No!-66%, Yes-24% (equals 23.7% Remaining GOP voters) http://www.pollingreport.com/politics.htm 4/23-27/2014 http://www.pollingreport.com/politics.htm

All talk, the gop supporters are frightened, nervous little people. Some union brothers and myself helped a scared little republican cross the street today, poor souls, they just don’t know how to cope inside what is called a government infrastructure, aka a city.

You don’t sound like a very charitable person. Nasty attitude

Ms. Grace, if I changed my attitude and threaten to kill people who work and defend our country instead of helping a tourist in downtown Saint Louis, perhaps then I would get your approval?

Nevermind, I respect our democracy to much to turn in to an awful rightwing zealot, whom on a daily basis intimidates the voting public with 2nd amendment solutions.

You sound like an idiot who believes in making up fake quotes by George Washington to prop up your weak arguments.

Lets see how John Stone’s interpretation of the 2nd Amendment Including the “Right To Take Up Arms Against The Government’ works this Friday. Let’s see if the Operation American Spring tea party birther racist assault on America try that theory out. Since they plan to converge on Washington, DC and to overthrow both the Democratic and Republican political leadership, including President Obama, Majority Leader Harry Reid, Speaker John Boehner and Attorney General Eric Holder—Let’s see if that “right” works for them.

Looks like TP is wrong., Again.

    The Founding Fathers on Arms

“Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They
are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence …
from the hour the Pilgrims landed to the present day, events,
occurences and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and
happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable … the very
atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference — they
deserve a place of honor with all that’s good.”
    George Washington

First President of the United States

Looks like another of Alan’s critics is wrong on the facts. again.

from the definitive source on all things related to George Washington

      http://www.mountvernon.org/educational-resources/encyclopedia/spurious-quotations

“Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty, teeth and keystone under independence.” Example:http://tinyurl.com/bfro6ck

This quotation does not show up in any of Washington’s writings, nor does any closely related quote.

This is my surprised face. : /

    • William May 14th, 2014 at 11:47 pm

As arc99 pointed out, your quote is patently wrong. Even if it was accurate you understand that Washington’s “opinion” is not a law or a constitutional amendment. Further, Washington did not contribute to the writing of the document.

George never said any such thing, robin; however the founding fathers did agree that it would be a good idea if those who chose to bear arms were part of a WELL REGULATED MILITIA. Says so right there in the 2nd amendment – no doubt to prevent cowardly Republicans from adding gun laws that are very selective to favor them, seeing as they intend to never be guilty of any crimes due to their lily WHITE no criminal records. Best Solution to stop the ‘no fault’ massacres – no guns, or have each owner of a gun be registered by:
      NAME
      RANK
MILITIA UNIT that is WELL REGULATED.
