John McCain says the airstrikes initiated by President Obama in Iraq are a “pinpick” “ineffective” and “worse than nothing.” So, when President Obama does nothing, it’s no good, and when he does something it’s “worse than nothing” according to the guy who lost to him.

He also criticized the president for honoring Bush’s status of forces agreement and pulling our troops out of Iraq, as though that would have done anything other than delay the inevitable once we went in there and blew the whole country apart and turned it into a powder keg.

Never mind that John McCain Tweeted this in 2010:

D.B. Hirsch
D.B. Hirsch is a political activist, news junkie, and retired ad copy writer and spin doctor. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.

This out of a guy who crashed how many planes?

    • BanditBasheert August 10th, 2014 at 1:16 pm

Five … but … Daddy and Gramps were Admirals.

  2. Herb Sarge Phelps August 10th, 2014 at 1:01 pm

Gramps need his meds and rocking chair. He should be shown enough respect for his service that the networks wouldn’t put him on air and let him embarrass himself.

    • BanditBasheert August 10th, 2014 at 1:15 pm

      Service?
It took him FIVE planes crashing before he succeeded in being caught as a POW. The guy flies as well as he picks running mates. But what do you expect from a guy who graduated 894th out of a class of 899 at the Naval Academy? Talk about a clusterfckup.

      • Herb Sarge Phelps August 10th, 2014 at 1:25 pm

I am being nice about it because he did refuse to be released if the other POWs were not. So I will give him that.

From Alternet (in 2008 and FROM Republicans):
Republicans Allege McCain Covered Up His Collaboration with the North Vietnamese While a POW
Allegations resurface that McCain made propaganda statements and tried to keep Viet Cong records about him classified.

Let’s not give him too much credit ok?

Thanks Bandit. I have know the McCain history was basically a lie since the early 70s when I began to follow politics.

I always wondered why McCain was The War Hero POW when I knew that there were hundreds of VN POWs who were being ignored by the excuses that passes for media.

The fact that my brother, who was wounded in VN and suffered all of his life until death in 2004, and several other male relatives and friends from my high school who served made me want to know more. Hence, my discovery of this VN War Hero, John McCain.

I still can’t understand why the media still touts McCain as something he clearly is not.

  3. mea_mark August 10th, 2014 at 1:03 pm

McCain doesn’t really know what is going on anymore, he is just blowing around in the political winds trying to feel like he is still relevant. Sad really, he should shut-up and hide and try and live out the rest of his days in peace, before he embarrasses himself too much more.

    • BanditBasheert August 10th, 2014 at 1:13 pm

He and Miss Graham should open a Bed and Breakfast together. It would give them something constructive to do.

Greetings mea_mark, I had tried to reach another moderator here a few days ago, it seems when I registered here I accidentally missed a number in my email addy, so now when I try to log in it says my user name is already being used… Sorry to be off topic here, but I sure could use some assistance…

He always has an opinion that REEKS of jealousy – let’s face it, the guy is a loser. He chose Snowdrift Snookie as a running mate and he’s lucky they lost or he’d be a dead man by now.
On the other hand, we wouldn’t have to listen to this drivel.

  5. Jake August 10th, 2014 at 1:32 pm

Why is this Manchurian Candidate always attacking the United States’ interests? Maybe he should have a show on PailinTV – just get him off pro-American TV please.

    • BanditBasheert August 10th, 2014 at 1:46 pm

She’d charge him $9.95 a month – and Cindy Lou wouldn’t pay for it. He has no money really of his own. Cindy Lou bought him Goldwater’s Senate Seat so he’d go live in DC and stay away from Phoenix.

  6. Obewon August 10th, 2014 at 1:39 pm

McCain is very worried about loosing the midterms because he knows his GOP is “worse than nothing.” But airstrikes “ineffective”? ‘We pretty much hit anything we wanted, destroying the Issis weapons, ammo caches and equipment. They were boldly advancing and now they’re in disarray, no longer advancing’-U.S. Milt on BBC radio Sunday morning.

The first wave successes from 3 days ago: US military aircraft dropped food and water for thousands of besieged Iraqis trapped by the the Islamist militant group Isis, Barack Obama has confirmed, with the president also authorizing air strikes against the insurgents if they advanced towards US forces. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/07/us-aid-iraqi-trapped-mountain-isi This is a lot better than “Mushroom clouds” promised by Condi Rice & her “Husband.”

    • BanditBasheert August 10th, 2014 at 1:44 pm

Whoa – he isn’t running this year.

      • Obewon August 10th, 2014 at 1:48 pm

His buddies are trying to takeover the senate and keep the House. I don’t think anybody is booking voter picnics advertising ‘Come meet Crash McCain and vote for the Repubs’ GW Bush may parachute in. Waterboard both Cheney’s into the Dunk tank!

        • BanditBasheert August 10th, 2014 at 1:50 pm

Especially here … he is not a “presence” in Arizona. He hides behind Cindy Lou’s Budweiser dollars.

    • consneverwork August 10th, 2014 at 8:12 pm

Boy, McCain just never stops. He is so predictable. The little Obama does is worse than nothing? How can anyone take him seriously? Peter King called him weak on MTP today? I can’t stand these guys; they are so weak. What about Rand Paul running away from that Dreamer lady — Rich Lowry, the fascist, thought it was a brilliant move; ha, if a democrat did it, he would have called him the biggest coward and if he couldn’t stand up to an American with a question, how could he stand up to Putin?

  7. Budda August 10th, 2014 at 1:42 pm

Man am I glad he wasn’t elected President!

  8. BanditBasheert August 10th, 2014 at 1:45 pm

I have a thought. Let’s put Junior Jet Man into yet another Navy Plane and send him over to bomb someone – and see how long it takes him to CRASH again.

  9. labman57 August 10th, 2014 at 2:06 pm

If the Iraqi government is unable to defend itself and maintain some semblance of stability — even after so many years of depending upon the “training wheels” of a substantive U.S. military presence, then what did McCain and his pro-incursion cohort expect us to do?
Leave hundreds of thousands of our troops — including reservists — in Iraq indefinitely?

    • KB723 August 10th, 2014 at 2:08 pm

He really has no Clue, my assumption is that he just wanted to complain, being that all the Benghazi, BS was just That…. Sore Loser perhaps???

  10. KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker August 10th, 2014 at 2:21 pm

And yet another reason I don’t even bother turning on CNN any more.

  11. pmbalele August 10th, 2014 at 4:09 pm

McCain is now senile. I believe he cannot even understand what President Obama said this morning. Those ISIS have now retreated after sky bullets rained on them. In fact I doubt if McCain is still mentally okay. Last week he asked Congress to give a billion to Vietnamese in form of weaponry. Next time McCain will give Hamas funds to buy weapons. Why can’t people like McCain shut up if they have nothing to say?

    • DetroitSam August 10th, 2014 at 7:05 pm

Don’t forget the billions of dollars of weapon we left for the Iraq army to defend Iraq.

Somehow, in the face of having to defend their country from ISIS, they dropped their guns and RAN AWAY.

      Wonder how that happened?

      • pmbalele August 10th, 2014 at 9:53 pm

Did you see one Iraq soldier was praying when he was supposed
to be carrying a gun? How can these Iraq soldiers defend a country when they pray 6 times a day? In fact who do they pray to – the are supposed to kill ISIS instead of spreading carpets to pray. Is that not dumb? I love religion – but not to this extreme.

  12. deckbose August 10th, 2014 at 4:22 pm

Can you even begin to imagine the faux outrage on the right had Obama somehow managed to evade GWB’s SOF Agreement? The charges of power-mad lawlessness would ring from the rooftops!

    • consneverwork August 10th, 2014 at 8:05 pm

Hey, good one. Never thought about that!

  13. Terry O'Connor August 10th, 2014 at 4:22 pm

The POTUS is a wuss, and the terrorists know it.

    • jasperjava August 10th, 2014 at 5:25 pm

Get a wet suit, and go to the bottom of the ocean and tell that to Osama bin Laden.

    • dbtexas12 August 10th, 2014 at 5:25 pm

No one will object if you suit up and go to Iraq to prove your manhood. Leave now! For all you warmongers, I have yet to hear this question answered: how many dead US soldiers will be enough to satisfy you? I watched this war start in 2003, and knew then the end result. As a Vietnam vet, how many times do we need to slap ourselves in the face to learn any lessons? Fake “patriots” like you are an abomination to our country!

    • eaglesfanintn August 10th, 2014 at 7:59 pm

But a guy posting crap on the internet is such a tough guy! Line up, buddy, grab your gun and some MRE’s and head on over.

    • consneverwork August 10th, 2014 at 8:26 pm

Especially Osama bin Laden and Khaddahi! Idiot.

  14. Greg Cundiff August 10th, 2014 at 5:19 pm

There are two words which explain why John McCain isn’t qualified to open his mouth in public ever: Sarah Palin.

  15. JamesMMartin August 10th, 2014 at 7:41 pm

McShame should resign and go home to Arid Zona. There, his brain got baked and he returned to D.C. to form a bromance with Linsie Glam. Although both claim something other than chicken hawk backgrounds, including actual service, they are living in the 20th century when things were solved by bombing people “back to the Stone Age” prior to exhaustion of diplomatic and strategic initiatives designed to keep our troops renewing the contracts with the Arms and Ammo industries: we are the world’s Number One manufacturer and seller of deadly weapons. What the hey, it’s a free market economy, right? Semi-automatics for cocaine.

  16. ShelleysLeg August 10th, 2014 at 8:23 pm

He’s just miffed because he’s on hiatus and has NO idea what is effective or not, being out of the loop. And we all KNOW what mad piloting skills he had so maybe he should remain silent?

Never could stand the man and I knew his next door neighbors in Phoenix….they despised him and told me he had killed their cat………HOW I don’t know and don’t want to know.

  17. burqa August 10th, 2014 at 8:32 pm

    McCain just don’t know how to take a ass-whuppin’, that’s all……

  18. Rixar13 McGinnis August 10th, 2014 at 9:02 pm

This coming from a lousy Pilot…

Then put your money where your mouth is grampy. Fly over there and show everyone how it’s done?
