Alan Keyes: Obama Is Crumbling America Like The Twin Towers Crumbled. Or Something
Alan Keyes went on one of his rants on Rick Wiles’ radio show.
Keyes told host Rick Wiles that while the government should follow God’s laws, Obama wants to become God and appoint himself Führer: “We are not, as citizens, always supposed to be trying to lift up some Fuhrer the way the Germans thought. Führer was their word for leader. They wanted to lift up some Führer who would dictate to their country the way Obama is trying to do now and tell us what to do.”
Keyes, who was Obama’s Republican opponent in the 2004 U.S. Senate race in Illinois, has repeatedly warned that Obama is becoming a Hitlerian dictator.
Decrying Obama’s “dictatorial actions,” Keyes accused the president of “importing” undocumented immigrants “in order to facilitate what I think is an overthrow of our Constitution.”
“We’re teetering, we’re more than teetering on the brink, I actually think we’re falling through the abyss, headed toward a rock bottom when our institutions will crumble the way the Twin Towers suddenly fell in that terrible day in 2001,” he said.

Does Godwin’s law apply when the article specifically mentions Hitler?

From the definition I understand, Godwin’s law applies to any Nazi or Hitler reference. As soon as I see any comment calling anyone a Nazi or Hitler I dismiss their post and idea. I can’t stand comparisons, it seems like these people don’t have an argument so they have to insert “code” words to either upset people or prove a point easier than to describe their actual opinion.

Yeah, but it seems to refer to the eventuality of it occurring on a thread. When the article ITSELF is about Der Fuhrer, can Godwin apply, I ask?

Okay, I understand what your asking now. It can be hard to completely understand what someone is saying without tone and immediate clarification. I agree, if the article itself is about Hitler then of course Godwin’s law will not apply. But I am applying this law to the talking points of Alan Keyes, he has become so irrelevant, except to rwnj’s, that he has to include Hitler in his speeches to make sure the nuts stay infuriated and continue to cling onto his hatred because they have been consumed by the drug he supplies.

I believe in the freedom of speech but I’m sick and tired of these right wing fanatics spewing lies and distortions about the president. I would like for once that the interviewers call them out with facts or tell the person they are interviewing to leave or STFU!!
