[su_right_ad]Allen Locke was killed by police in Rapid City, SD, one day after attending a rally against cops called #NativeLivesMatter.

Locke was shot up to five times by Rapid City Officer Anthony Meirose, who was called to remove a person from a residence, according to a press release by the Rapid City Police Department, noted the Rapid City Journal.

“Officer Meirose approached the house and while standing in the doorway, he was attacked by a male subject with a knife. The officer drew his weapon and shot the subject several times,” Rapid City Police Captain Dan Rud told Black Hills Fox (video below).

However, it’s not clear why Officer Meirose didn’t use his Taser instead of his gun.

“From what we understand of the situation last night there was no time for that and it was not a viable option, Taser or OC spray or whatever, it was not a viable option for the officer at the time,” added Captain Rud.[su_csky_ad]

How convenient that his taser was not ready but his gun was.

you mean like the white guy that was swinging a machete at the police in the middle of the street, who wasn’t tased or shot.

Yes we understand that the people who attend these rallies are violent and want to kill police.

Oh FFS! What about this asshole, drunk, and after shooting into a bar hitting a patron, then takes a shot at police and just gets arrested. It’s bigotry along with white privilege, plain & simple.

Taking this story at face value, and not any additional investigation. If this phrase is accurate “Officer Meirose approached the house and while standing in the doorway,
he was attacked by a male subject with a knife. The officer drew his
weapon and shot the subject several times,”. Everything about using a taser is BS. Tasers are a “1” shot option and should only be used when the opportunity is able to be done so. If being attacked, I would expect the officer to protect himself.

Also, there is no such thing as shooting at legs or arms. They are moving parts, and you may miss very easily. You are trained to shoot at center mass, and you shoot until the threat is diminished.

Apparently the police were ASKED to remove Mr. Locke from the premises by the management of Lakota Community Homes, which is Section 8 housing.

“The Rapid City Journal reports the officer was called to remove an unwanted man from a house at the Lakota Community Homes just after 6 p.m. Saturday.”

The cop was attacked by a violent man with a knife. It’s called justifiable homicide.

Funny how the police could subdue these people in the past.
