Jeb Bush wants to be part of the anti-science crowd.

“Look, first of all, the climate is changing. I don’t think the science is clear what percentage is man-made and what percentage is natural. It’s convoluted. And for the people to say the science is decided on, this is just really arrogant, to be honest with you,” he said.

“It’s this intellectual arrogance that now you can’t even have a conversation about it. The climate is changing, and we need to adapt to that reality,” he said.

      Absolutely maddening ain’t it?

The conversation is done, the debate is done and the science is clear arrogant jeb, stop pandering to stupid people

Arrogance is the new meme for the deniers. They decided that “I’m not a scientist” wasn’t working so now they’re trying to be even more humble while making the scientists who really do know what’s going on sound arrogant.

    • tracey marie May 21st, 2015 at 10:24 am

deflect and deny, the meme is out and about

    • mea_mark May 21st, 2015 at 11:11 am

Republicans aren’t scientist. That makes them an easy group to demonize. Republicans are always looking for someone to demonize, to hate, to stoke fear about. Scientist are just going to be the next group.

The fact that their tactics help the profiteers is just a bonus come campaign funding time.

      • Kick Frenzy May 21st, 2015 at 6:41 pm

“Going to be” the next group?
The Reds have been blasting science and scientists for awhile now!

I’m not sure if there’s a group they haven’t gathered up in their ignorant nets of hate.

“And for the people to say the science is decided on, this is just really arrogant,”
    Hey Jeb
guess what else is just a theory?
    Gravity.
You should really show those arrogant scientists a thing or two and jump off a building.

  5. crc3 May 21st, 2015 at 12:04 pm

Intellectual arrogance? LOL. I think the real arrogance comes from climate change deniers who think that scientists who have studied climate change for decades are bogus fools. Isn’t it funny (not funny ha ha) that the deniers are overwhelmingly Repulsives? Now…who are the real fools?

  6. Maxx44 May 21st, 2015 at 12:23 pm

So Bushie thinks I’m really arrogant. Cool!

  7. Bunya May 21st, 2015 at 1:51 pm

Sure thing, Jeb. I hear the science on atherosclerosis isn’t clear either, and any doctor that tells you otherwise, well, he’s/she’s just “arrogant”. So, if you ever have pain in your chest, just ignore it. Jesus will fix it.

Closing your eyes and plugging your ears and stamping your feet while saying “I can’t hear I can’t hear I can’t hear I can’t hear” whenever someone shows you some data isn’t “a conversation,” Jeb.

The hypocrisy of a Bush claiming someone else is arrogant is almost hilarious.

The most aggravating aspect of this argument about global warming as artifact is that people who give a shit about this have been working tirelessly for at least fifty years to mitigate the negative effect of man on the planet, by reducing greenhouse gases, championing cleaner and more efficient products, I could go on and on.

Two questions: First what if this had not been done? How much higher would sea levels be, for example? Secondly, what if these efforts actually came to bear the fruit of leveling off global warming rates?

Answer– and this is the aggravating part: Republicans will undoubtedly point to this and say see, we told you silly libtards there was nothing to worry about.

So telling the truth about something is arrogance and lying about it is just fine? I thought he was supposed to be smarter than Dubya, but even simple minded George knew climate change is real. Supposedly, Dumbya has a 99 IQ, so just how inferior is Jeb?

Sorry Jebbya – you are an idiot.

  15. labman57 May 21st, 2015 at 8:58 pm

The conservative Republican’s mind is a scary place. Exhibit A — their “sh*t happens” rationalization regarding global warming and climate change trends:

“Global warming is a fallacy. My evidence? It snowed in Boston this winter.

Of course, if it is real, it has nothing to do with carbon-based gas emissions. My 4th grade science teacher told me so.

But then, if carbon gases are responsible, it has nothing to do with human activity — it’s totally natural, like plastic.

However, if it turns out that global climate change is the result of manmade carbon-based gas emissions, well, it’s God’s will. Therefore, only He can do anything about it.”

And in any case, an increase in average global temperature really isn’t all that bad — after all, you’ll be able to wear tank tops and shorts in January.

  16. atunionbob May 22nd, 2015 at 11:53 am

Well we may be Arrogant…but he is just plain stupid if he thinks there is no such thing as global warming.

  17. jasperjava May 22nd, 2015 at 3:06 pm

Those arrogant scientists keep insisting that the earth is round, and billions of years old, without any proof whatsoever.
