Mike Huckabee calls for civil disobedience if the Supreme Court approves gay marriage.

Huckabee, who recently issued a letter pledging to fight gay marriage, told Starnes that conservatives should wage “civil disobedience” against a government that “acted outside of nature and nature’s God, outside of the bounds of the law, outside of the bounds of the Constitution,” warning that otherwise they will be forced to commit “biblical disobedience.”

“What if no one had acted in disobedience to the Dred Scott decision of 1857?” Huckabee continued. “What if the entire country had capitulated to judicial tyranny and we just said that because the Supreme Court said in 1857 said that a black person wasn’t fully human? Suppose we had accepted that, suppose Abraham Lincoln, our president, had accepted that, would that have been the right course of action?”

He do make a fine example of a Preacher Man. But I though Jesus Preached Compassion, Acceptance, and Peace. Let the Jihad begin.

Wait a sec, Huck. First you tell us those outside South Carolina shouldn’t dictate whether the Confederate Battle Flag flies in front of the Capitol Building.

Now you’re playing footsie with Lincoln. Your pandering really knows no bounds, does it?

P.S. You still ain’t got a chance for the presidency.

    Waddyathink?

Does Mike Huckabee have the courage to be arrested over this issue?

Or is he just full of hot air?

      Hot something.

Anyone with a braincell can see right through your pandering huckster. You try to compare the rights of the LGBT community to enslavement in hopes of getting the African American voter to support you? As if you would ever support any of the issues this community would ask for.

What kind of ‘civil disobedience’ is he referring to? Refusing to marry two men or two women are clearly allowed. Does he mean bombing gay homes, assassinating clerics that marry same sex couples? What exactly?

I’m no fan of Huckabee, and this post illustrates why. It is the Supreme Court’s job to interpret the constitutionality of things. While you might disagree with what they find, you should still respect it.

Personally, I believe the Government has no place in marriage. That said, IF Government is going to stick its nose into marriage, then it needs to be legal for any two people to wed, so long as they are both consenting adults, and this includes couples that would leave an even worse taste in the mouth of Republicans (such as two adult, consenting siblings). Either its all in with the government, or they can keep their hands off of it entirely.
