Oregon Shooter Left Diary With Plan To Kill ‘Sinners’ At The High School
The 15-year old gunman at Reynolds High School left behind a journal in which he notes his plan to kill “sinners” at the school. Police discovered the journal while searching Jared Padgett’s father’s home.
According to a law enforcement source, Padgett wrote about a plan to go to the school and kill students or “sinners” however, there were no specifics in his notes about how or when the shooting might occur.
According to the Daily News, Padgett was an active member of an Gresham, Ore., Mormon church. A leader at the teen’s church said Padgett was ‘highly regarded for his spirituality.’
When Padgett arrived at the school last Tuesday morning, he was carrying a guitar case and duffel bag. Inside he had an AR-15 type rifle, a semi-automatic handgun, ammunition and a large knife, police said.
Padgett fatally shot 14-year old Emilio Hoffman in the boys’ locker room. He also allegedly shot and injured a teacher. Padgett was found dead in a restroom of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police say Padgett got the weapons from his family’s home, where they were secured.

This is a really big story — until next week when another shooting happens.
I live in Oregon and I wish we could have a citizens initiative to lock up guns. Instead we only get citizens initiatives for casinos. taxes and prisons.

If you look at Esteban Rey’s comment history, you will realize that his comment was snark.
A commentary on the latest right-wing meme, that these mass shooters are all liberal; even the one who targeted a Democratic congresswoman, or the white supremacists in Vegas, at the Wisconsin Sikh temple and at the Holocaust museum, the young misogynist who went on a rampage against women but who “really wasn’t a misogynist” because he ended up killing more men than women, and “wasn’t really a gunman” because he also used a knife…
etc, etc, etc.
The right-wingers always deflect the blame from their rotten ideology. They must defend their sadistic love of guns at all costs.
