Comments We Magically Disappear: “We have a white hating, america hating commie in office” [sic]
Some comments left here are so stupid we just have to post them. This is a thing we did on FreakOutNation and now on Liberaland because it’s always fun to point and laugh. On the post, “Anthony Cumia Of ‘Opie And Anthony’ Fired After Racist Twitter Rant,” commenters poured in to support Cumia’s big fat racist mouth, because freedom.
We’re pretty sure this is Fred.
There are so many to choose from but I picked a couple of guys who are obviously Mensa members:

This fine patriot didn’t capitalize America. You see, Fred, we live in an actual country. I’m not sure why being a comooonEdee organizer is a bad thing especially when it comes with decades of experience. Obama had four years in the U.S. Senate representing Illinois.
Before that, he was a state senator in Illinois for eight years. He was also a senior lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School during that time. Merriam-Webster lists its senses in order of origin, meaning that the first sense is the original. Over time, usage has broadened to the second sense (racial prejudice), which is how it is here applied.

Regarding Trayvon Martin: He was walking down a public sidewalk with a box of Skittles and an iced tea. A crazy man saw him, armed himself, and gave chase. Trayvon ended up dead. So tell me what Trayvon did wrong? Was it the Skittles? The iced tea? The fact he was walking along peacefully on a public sidewalk? Or that a paranoid white man didn’t like black kids anywhere near his neighborhood?

Dr. Gates was confronted by a Cop while trying to get in his own front door. Because a neighbor didn’t realize she had a black professor as a neighbor and the Cop didn’t check. He assumed. If you’d looked at your own Google link closer, you would have seen one of the 1st pics is a trio which makes a comparison between the Irish and Negros, both bearing strongly ape-ified features. Black people being depicted as apes or animalistic is a shameful practice which can be traced back further and deeper than any similar insults dealt to the Irish.

Not really, just subjective moderation as opposed to objective moderation that follows a set of defined standards. When a post doesn’t violate a set standard, then why is a moderators task to delete comments that don’t contain profanity, don’t disrespect another poster, and directly address a specific line in the original article? It erodes the integrity of the moderation.

Actually there aren’t any real hard strict rules except for attacking and threatening other readers. Some things are most just common sense and courtesy. Like not hijacking a thread, especially on the very first comment. That has always been one of my pet peeves that trolls do. It is a private site and we wing it a little bit from time to time. The goal is always to provide a good experience for the reader when possible though. Well, at least for liberal readers, it is after all Liberaland, not RWNJ-Land.
